How to Get Copper Ore and Copper Ingots in Hytale

Copper Ingots are a key item in the early stages of Hytale, used to craft important tools, structures, and other materials. To get a good start, it’s helpful to know where to find plenty of Copper Ore and then turn it into Ingots.

This guide explains where to find Copper Ore, how to mine it with a Pickaxe, and how to smelt it into Copper Ingots at your base. Here’s a breakdown of the process.

Where to Find Copper Ore in Hytale

You can find copper ore deep underground in Hytale, typically between 10 and 20 blocks down. It looks like rusty, pillar-shaped formations rising from the bedrock, with a whitish color at the top.

In the game Hytale, copper is the first type of ore players will find. It can be mined with a Crude Pickaxe. This pickaxe is made in the crafting menu (opened with the TAB key) and requires 2 Rubble, 2 Plant Fiber, and 2 Sticks.

While you can find Copper near the surface and dig for it yourself, it’s usually better to explore existing caves early in the game. The basic pickaxe in Hytale is slow at breaking stone and dirt, making cave exploration a more efficient way to gather resources.

Always carry a repair kit so you can quickly fix damaged items when you need to.

How to Make Copper Ingots in Hytale

Similar to Iron Ingots, Copper Ingots are made by smelting Copper Ore in a Furnace within Hytale. You can build a Furnace at a Tier 1 Workbench, found under the Crafting section.

In Hytale, the Workbench is your initial crafting station. You create it with 2 of any type of Tree Trunk and 2 of any type of Stone.

How to Make a Furnace in Hytale

A Furnace can be crafted using the following materials:

  • Any Tree Trunk x6
  • Any Stone x6

Once you’ve crafted a Furnace, you can place it in the game world by selecting it on your hotbar and right-clicking.

How to Craft Copper Ingots in Hytale

  1. Once a Furnace is ready to go, place a fuel item like Wood, Charcoal, or Plant Fiber in the Fuel slot and place Copper Ore in the Input slot.
  2. Click on “Turn On” to start the smelting process.
  3. Each time the progress bar underneath the Copper Ore reaches its maximum, a single Copper Ingot will be placed in the Output slot.

Take the Ingots out of the Output and place them in your inventory to start crafting with them.
