Team NINJA announced on social media that players who try the upcoming Nioh 3 demo will get a special bonus: their progress and character they create will transfer over to the full game when it launches on February 6th.
A demo for the game will be available on PlayStation 5 and Steam starting January 29th. PlayStation users may have already had access to a previous demo version.
Nioh 3 Demo Coming January 29
Nioh fans won’t have to wait much longer to try Nioh 3! Team NINJA announced that a demo will be available on PlayStation 5 and Steam on January 29, 2026. This will give players a first look at the game before its official release a week later.
Players can create a unique warrior and begin playing the first part of the game. Initial previews show Nioh 3 will have a darker, more fantastical style, and that look will likely extend to how you customize your character.

Nioh 3 launches on February 6, 2026, and is available for pre-order now.

This isn’t the first time a Nioh 3 demo has been released. Back in June 2025, a demo was briefly available on the PlayStation Store, giving players a first look at the new action game from Team NINJA.
At the time, the game really emphasized its main ideas: the freedom to explore, facing challenges, and a sense of being immersed in history.
