How to Get Splatoon Villagers & Items in Animal Crossing New Horizons

In the past, collaborations have brought characters from other popular series into the world of Animal Crossing. For a long time in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the only special guests were characters from Sanrio. However, update 3.0 changed that, finally allowing players to invite Nintendo characters to their islands.

Good news for Splatoon fans! You can now welcome two new villagers inspired by the game to your island in New Horizons, and even buy items from the series. This guide will show you how.

How to Invite Splatoon Characters in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Many players anticipated the return of Zelda-themed villagers from the previous Animal Crossing game, New Leaf, but Nintendo instead added Tulin and Mineru. However, fans hoping to see some recognizable characters will be happy to know that Viche and Cece are back in the latest update, version 3.0.

Players of New Leaf might remember Viche and Cece, two squirrel villagers based on the characters Callie and Marie from Splatoon. To get these villagers to move to their island, players need to scan Splatoon amiibo figures. This will allow Viche or Cece to visit your campsite. You can do this by going to the ABD terminal at Resident Services and choosing the ‘Invite Camper’ option.

Scanning certain amiibo figures will bring either Viche or Cece to visit your campsite in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Here’s a list of the amiibo that can summon them:
