Battlestate Games is asking players for their input on potential collaborations and crossovers for Escape from Tarkov. They’re not just looking at other games – they want to hear suggestions for any projects that might be a good match.
There’s been talk of a potential partnership between Escape from Tarkov and the popular streamer group, Escape from Duckov, and it feels like a natural fit. However, many other brands could also work really well with Escape from Tarkov for a collaboration.
What Brands Do You Want in Escape from Tarkov?
Nikita Buyanov, who leads the development team at Battlestate Games, recently reached out to fans on social media for assistance.
Our team has been brainstorming potential partnerships with other games or projects, and I’m really interested in your opinion. What game or project do you think would be a good match for Escape from Tarkov to collaborate with?
Escape from Tarkov, a unique ‘extraction shooter’ that’s been continuously developed for ten years, has generally avoided the frequent collaborations common in other online games. Unlike many ‘live service’ titles, it hasn’t focused on things like cosmetic skins, bundled content, or limited-time game modes, and players have consistently praised it for that approach.
As a long-time fan, it’s exciting to see Escape from Tarkov finally hit its ‘1.0’ release! It feels like the developers are really starting to look at new ways to support the game and grow the experience, which is fantastic news.
Recently, Team Soda and Bilibili hinted at a possible collaboration between Escape from Duckov and Escape from Tarkov. Given that both are similar ‘extraction shooter’ games, a crossover makes a lot of sense. This raises the question: what other companies or brands might explore similar partnerships or enter this gaming genre?
Fans were quick to make suggestions on social media under Buyanov’s post.
Some players have recommended drawing inspiration from games like ARC Raiders and Gray Zone Warfare. Others believe a collaboration similar to the STALKER series would be a good fit, though current political tensions between Russia and Ukraine might make that difficult for developers from those countries.
One user jokingly suggested that Escape from Tarkov partner with Riot Games and implement Riot’s Vanguard anti-cheat system to address the game’s ongoing issues.
Escape from Tarkov probably won’t follow Fortnite’s lead with tons of collaborations, but it’s fun to think about what could happen if it did.
