A new report confirms that Teresa Palmer will play the role of Sif in the upcoming live-action God of War series.
Amazon’s upcoming live-action series based on God of War is gaining momentum with recent casting news. Yesterday, it was revealed that Ryan Hurst, known for his role in Sons of Anarchy, will star as Kratos, wielding the iconic Leviathan Axe and Blades of Chaos.
Teresa Palmer to Play Sif in God of War’s Live-Action Series
According to a new report from Deadline, actress Teresa Palmer has been cast as Sif/Phoebe, the wife of Thor. Amazon hasn’t confirmed or denied the news yet. Palmer is known for her roles in films like Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Lights Out, and The Fall Guy.
The choice of actors has also got fans thinking about when the show takes place in relation to the games. Fans of the God of War series know that Sif and Thor don’t appear until the second game, Ragnarok. This raises the question: will the TV show follow the game’s storyline closely, or will it create its own path?
A recent report revealed the actors cast as Baldur and Thor in the new series. Max Parker, known for his work in Boots, will portray Baldur, while Olafur Darri Olafsson, from Severance, will play Thor.
As a huge fan, I’m so excited about the upcoming adaptation! But honestly, I’m really curious about who they’ll cast for some of the key characters still up for grabs. Like, who could really bring Atreus, Odin, Freya, Mimir, Sindri, and Brok to life? I’ve been brainstorming, and I’d love to hear everyone else’s ideas – who do you think would be perfect for these roles?
Christopher Judge, the actor who voices Kratos in God of War, has said he’d like the next game to be set in Egypt. Also, some images have been released from a God of War multiplayer game that was planned but never finished.
