It’s the weekend! Time to unwind, catch up on things you didn’t get to during the week, and – crucially – solve today’s NYT Connections puzzle. Luckily, I’m here to help with that last part! You’ll find hints and solutions just below.
What is NYT Connections?
I should probably give you some background information before sharing today’s hints for the NYT Connections game.
NYT Connections launched in June 2023 as the newest game from the New York Times. It quickly became popular, and for good reason! This free game is easy to access for anyone around the world, whether they’re using a computer or the mobile app.
Honestly, NYT Connections is perfect for when I’ve got a few minutes to spare – like on my commute or while waiting for my coffee. It’s a great way to pass the time!
But how do you play NYT Connections?

It’s relatively simple, and that’s why it’s the best New York Times game, in my opinion.
Each day, the New York Times will give you a set of 16 words. Your job is to organize them into four groups of four, based on what they have in common. There’s only one correct solution to each puzzle, and some words can be misleading, making it a bit challenging.
The words are also color-coded to show how challenging they are: yellow is the easiest, followed by blue, then green, and purple being the most difficult.
It’s important to remember you only get four tries each day with NYT Connections. Use them all up, and you won’t be able to solve today’s puzzle – that’s game over!
