Naruto Uzumaki has become the Seventh Hokage of Konoha and is widely considered one of the most powerful ninjas of all time. He’s known for inheriting the power of the Sage of Six Paths and for saving the world by sealing away Kaguya Otsutsuki with the help of Team 7. Though Naruto achieved legendary status during his own adventures, his role in Boruto has been a bit different.

Naruto’s faced a lot of challenges in the Boruto series, and he’s lost some of his former strength. However, he’s also developed new abilities, including a more powerful version of Sage Mode. This upgraded Sage Mode is stronger than what he used before, hinting at interesting things to come in the story.

When discussing Naruto’s strength in the Boruto series, the biggest problem is the loss of Kurama, the Nine-Tailed Beast. Initially, Naruto was the most powerful ninja, with Sasuke as his only equal. But as the story went on, both Naruto and Sasuke were weakened, ultimately losing the sources of their greatest power.

Naruto fans know that he eventually lost the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox, Kurama. This happened during his fight with Isshiki Otsutsuki, and it was also where Naruto received his final power boost. Simply put, Naruto’s existing abilities weren’t strong enough to win against Isshiki, so Kurama made a risky sacrifice that ultimately cost him his life.

As a huge Naruto fan, I was absolutely blown away by the fight against Isshiki! When things looked hopeless, Kurama proposed this incredible new power called Baryon Mode. It’s hard to explain, but basically, it used our chakra in a completely different way, almost like nuclear fusion, to create this insane amount of energy. Honestly, Naruto became unbelievably powerful – arguably the strongest we’ve ever seen, after Shibai! He managed to drastically shorten Isshiki’s lifespan with Baryon Mode, setting him up for defeat. But it came at a terrible cost – Kurama sacrificed himself permanently, and Naruto was left incredibly weak. It was heartbreaking! So, naturally, Naruto needed a way to regain some strength, and that’s where his enhanced Sage Mode comes in – it’s his next step in getting back to his former self.

Following Kurama’s death, many fans believed Naruto had become significantly weaker, a reasonable assumption considering he seemed unable to match the power of the Otsutsuki. However, Naruto was still improving, steadily enhancing the abilities he already possessed.

The recent storyline featured Naruto Uzumaki battling Code, during which he debuted an enhanced version of Sage Mode. Feeling prepared to face Code with this new ability, Naruto was reminded by Shikamaru that his Sage Mode wasn’t comparable to the power of Kurama. Naruto countered, explaining that he’d significantly improved his Sage Mode over time through experience and training, making it stronger than ever before.

Naruto’s New Sage Mode Is Stronger And Lasts Longer

Naruto’s Sage Mode is significantly more powerful now compared to its previous state. Here’s a look at how it’s gotten better:

Now, Naruto can enter Sage Mode instantly, unlike during the Ninja War when he had to prepare for a while first. He can use this powerful mode for a significant period before needing to recharge, which is a huge improvement and sets him apart from most other fighters.

Now, Naruto can stay in Sage Mode for much longer during fights. This means he won’t run out of it as frequently as he did in the original series.

Furthermore, Naruto’s power significantly increased with his updated Sage Mode. While he didn’t get to use it in battle against Code, leaving fans wondering just how strong he’s become, Naruto clearly felt confident in his abilities with this new level of power.

If Naruto masters his enhanced Sage Mode, he could have an essentially endless supply of chakra because it draws power directly from the earth. Combined with his skill in creating shadow clones and his already large chakra capacity, this improved Sage Mode promises to be a significant boost to his abilities. With further training, it could become even more powerful.

Fans Hope For A New Naruto Power Up

The updated Sage Mode is helpful for Naruto, giving him a noticeable boost in power. However, it’s simply not enough to prepare him for the challenges ahead. He’ll eventually have to face incredibly powerful enemies like the Otsutsuki clan, and since even his Six Paths Sage Mode enhanced by Kurama wasn’t strong enough to defeat them, this standard version of Sage Mode won’t be either.

Because of this, Naruto either needs to become significantly more powerful, or the villains he faces will need to be weaker in future storylines. Both options are possible, but it would be more satisfying if Naruto gained new abilities, as the story seems to allow for that kind of growth.

For example, Naruto Uzumaki might be able to acquire a new ninja tool, like the prosthetic hand he tested that could absorb any type of chakra. If he had that ability, it would significantly increase his power and take him to a whole new level.

Furthermore, Naruto gained access to powerful techniques like the Wood Release, which became even stronger when combined with his enhanced Sage Mode. He also had the option of reconnecting with the other Tailed Beasts, and merging this renewed connection with Sage Mode would make him a formidable opponent for any future enemies.

No matter where the Boruto story goes, fans agree that Naruto needs to remain a powerful and capable ninja. They hope the writers remember how important he is and continue to develop his strength and skills.
