Recently, renowned content creator Tfue (from America’s Twitch and YouTube) shared how severe Hurricane Helene impacted his residence. This revelation startled and worried many of his admirers, as they watch him tackle the hardships that come with recovering from a natural disaster like this one.
Turner Tenney, better known by his online alias “Tfue,” is one of the highly-followed Twitch streamers with a massive follower base of approximately 11.4 million. Tfue primarily gained fame due to his exceptional gameplay in Fortnite; however, he frequently displays his gaming prowess in other competitive shooter games such as Call of Duty: Warzone, Z1: Battle Royale, Apex Legends, and others. In addition to Twitch, Tfue has established a substantial online presence on YouTube, where he boasts over 11.7 million subscribers.
September 26 saw Hurricane Helene making landfall in Florida, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The storm resulted in numerous deaths, flattened entire communities, cut off power supplies, and left numerous individuals stranded amidst floodwaters. One of those affected was popular Twitch personality Tfue, whose region was hit hard by the hurricane, causing his fans to express their worry for his well-being. Taking to Twitter, Tfue informed his followers that his home was facing critical storm surge levels and advised everyone to prioritize safety. Subsequently, he posted a video of his flooded residence, voicing his sorrow and astonishment at the rapid increase in water levels.
Tfue Shares Video of Hurricane Helene’s Devastating Impact on His Home
Previously acclaimed Fortnite player Tfue uploaded another video, showcasing the severe damage to his childhood residence. The footage displayed a series of issues such as sand filling the house, a missing fence, and other signs of destruction. This video, along with an earlier one, swiftly garnered attention on social media platforms, accumulating over 2.3 million views each. Fans were left in shock by the devastation, voicing their concerns and sympathy. One user couldn’t believe the extent of the flooding, expressing prayers for Tfue’s safety and for his belongings that might have been affected. Another user offered prayers to protect valuable items from the water and expressed empathy towards those experiencing home damage. Numerous others expressed their hopes for a quick recovery of his house, appreciating that he remained safe amidst the disaster.
It’s good news that Tfue is okay after the natural disaster, but it’s important to note that such incidents involving streamers are quite common. Sometimes, these events even happen during live streams. For example, a Twitch streamer accidentally recorded an earthquake in central Japan last January. Similarly, popular Twitch streamer Shroud had his Apex Legends match interrupted by an earthquake.
