Iron Farming Spot in New World: Aeternum

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours logged into MMOs under my belt, I can confidently say that New World: Aeternum has certainly piqued my interest. One resource that stands out for its ubiquity and versatility is Iron Ore.

In the game New World: Aeternum, iron is among the initial resources players will come across. This resource serves as the fundamental material for creating basic equipment, and it forms a key foundation for those aiming to develop their crafting or trading abilities effectively.

In the game, you’ll find numerous recipes that require Iron. If you’re playing as one of the class archetypes such as the Destroyer or Soldier in “New World: Aeternum”, it would be beneficial for you to collect as much Iron as possible early on to help you acquire upgrades for your initial gear.

Where To Find Iron Ore In New World

You can obtain Iron Ore in a raw state by excavating the numerous iron deposits scattered throughout the map. These are often found on hillsides, cliffs, and mountains. A particularly good spot for mining Iron early in the game is located between Monarch’s Bluff and Windsward.

On the displayed map, you’ll find a specific area where gamers can effortlessly gather numerous Iron pieces with each expedition. The areas highlighted in red signify the positions of Iron Ore deposits, although they aren’t the only ones in this region. If there are no iron veins nearby, it usually means other players have recently visited. This is commonly observed during the initial weeks on a new server within the game New World: Aeternum.

The spot above also has plenty of Young Trees and Wolves, making it a great spot for leveling Logging and Skinning for new players.

Generally speaking, rocky and rugged landscapes tend to contain veins of Iron Ore, making them ideal locations for early Iron mining. Take a look at your map, then venture into the hilly regions of Monarch’s Bluff, and you’ll likely come across Iron deposits.

The Trading Post

Given iron’s significant utility in the early stages, it’s likely that you’ll find plenty of it available at your local Trading Post. Typically, the price won’t exceed 1.00 Gold, but be prepared for higher-than-usual costs if you’re playing on a new server.

In the game New World: Aeternum, earning money early on by selling Iron is another profitable venture. If you’re working on enhancing your Weaponsmithing, Smelting, and Armoring skills, you’ll find yourself in need of a lot of Iron for your progress. Should you be willing to put in some effort, you can easily make some money by simply selling Iron to fellow players.

Before I embark on my mountain-mining adventure, I always ensure I’ve got some top-notch gathering equipment at hand. You can either fashion your own in a town’s Workshop, or pick up one crafted by another player. It’s worth checking if the tools you’re using have any bonus features, as they often do!
