Visual Concepts has released a new update for WWE 2K26, addressing a few small issues in the latest installment of the wrestling series. The update includes adjustments to two particular moves and overall improvements to the game’s performance.
Released in March, WWE 2K26 introduced significant improvements to popular game modes. Universe Mode now lets players conduct the WWE Draft, switching wrestlers between Raw and SmackDown. A new Showcase mode highlights the career of CM Punk, and MyRise received a story revamp featuring Paul Heyman as the main villain. Now, Visual Concepts has released a small update to WWE 2K26 to fine-tune the gameplay experience.
WWE 2K26 1.09 Update is Light on Changes
On April 27th, Visual Concepts released a small update, version 1.09, for WWE 2K26. They’re calling it a hotfix, meaning it’s a quick fix rather than a large overhaul. The update focuses on a few key issues, with adjustments made to two specific moves – the Jackhammer Pin Combo and the Corner Springboard Spear – based on player feedback. Visual Concepts also improved the game’s overall stability and performance with this new patch.
The latest update for the wrestling game focuses on minor bug fixes following the release of Ringside Pass Season 2. The new Battle Pass for WWE 2K26 launched on April 15th, introducing the Demolition tag team (Ax, Smash, and Crush) and wrestling star Kelly Kelly. A new version of Oba Femi, based on his appearance on Saturday Night’s Main Event in December, is also available for free after reaching tier 40 of the Ringside Pass.
The new Ringside Pass for WWE 2K26 builds on what fans already know about upcoming content. Visual Concepts has announced that Season 3’s Ringside Pass, arriving in June, will introduce Matt Cardona, Brian Pillman, and La Parka as playable characters. The developer also plans to release a total of six battle passes throughout 2026, with future passes adding popular wrestlers like Matt and Jeff Hardy, Royce Keys, and Danhausen.

The latest wrestling game, WWE 2K26, has faced some criticism since its release. Many fans were unhappy with the amount of in-game purchases, especially the Ringside Passes. The updated story mode, MyRise, has also received feedback that it doesn’t feel fresh enough compared to previous versions. The developers at Visual Concepts are regularly releasing updates to address these issues and improve the overall experience for players.
