MegaETH (MEGA) is now available for trading on Upbit with Korean Won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT) trading pairs. Bithumb is also getting ready to list MEGA and offer KRW trading to Korean investors.
MegaETH is launching on the Upbit exchange in South Korea, allowing users to trade it with Korean Won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT).
MEGA will be listed on South Korea’s biggest cryptocurrency exchange before being available to Korean traders. Bithumb also intends to launch a trading market for MEGA using Korean won on April 30, 2026, as confirmed by official sources and industry reports.
Upbit Adds MEGA Trading Pairs
Upbit will begin offering MegaETH (MEGA) for trading on three different markets. You’ll be able to trade MEGA with Korean Won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT).
The exchange notice said trading support was scheduled for April 30, 2026.
I’m tracking that Upbit, the largest crypto exchange in Korea, is listing MEGA with KRW, BTC, and USDT trading pairs. From what I understand, MegaETH is a layer-2 blockchain built on the Ethereum Virtual Machine, capable of handling over 100,000 transactions per second with incredibly fast speeds – we’re talking milliseconds. The MEGA token itself is used for governance, staking, and paying for gas fees on the network.

The listing gives MEGA access to Korean won, Bitcoin, and Tether markets on Upbit.
As an investor, what I like about this setup is that I can easily trade MEGA for both traditional currencies and other cryptocurrencies. It also means the token is available on a lot of popular trading platforms, which should help with its growth and accessibility.
Upbit, the biggest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea, is adding new trading options, called MEGA pairs, that will allow users to trade with Korean won, Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT), according to a report by Wu.
The report was published on April 30, 2026, and later updated the same day.
To coincide with the launch, Upbit has implemented trading rules that will temporarily limit buy orders for approximately five minutes when trading starts.
Limit orders will be the only supported order type for about two hours.
MegaETH Network Uses Real-Time Layer 2 Design
MegaETH is a Layer 2 blockchain built on the Ethereum network. It claims to be able to handle over 100,000 transactions every second.
It also claims millisecond-level latency for real-time blockchain activity.
The network is built to improve EVM performance without using a new virtual machine.
From my analysis, this project centers around improvements to how the system is built, how data is managed, and the order in which transactions are processed. The team claims these adjustments will alleviate performance issues – specifically, bottlenecks – that are common in current Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) systems.
Upbit to List MegaETH (MEGA) on KRW, BTC and USDT Markets
Upbit, the biggest cryptocurrency exchange in South Korea, is adding MegaETH (MEGA) to its platform. Users will be able to trade MEGA for Korean Won (KRW), Bitcoin (BTC), and Tether (USDT). MegaETH is a fast, Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 network that boasts the ability to process over 100,000 transactions every second…

MegaETH speeds up transactions by prioritizing memory usage in its processing system. It also relies on EigenDA to ensure data is reliably available.
Its node structure separates roles by function, which is designed to improve network efficiency.
The MEGA token has a few key functions within the project. It’s used to participate in governing the project, earn rewards through staking, and cover transaction fees.
These functions connect the token to network operations and user activity.

Bithumb Also Plans MEGA Won Market
Bithumb, South Korea’s second-largest crypto exchange, also plans to list MEGA.
Bithumb has announced it will list a new trading pair for the Korean won (MEGA). Trading will start at 8:00 PM local time on April 30, 2026.
MEGA is now available on Bithumb, a leading Korean cryptocurrency exchange. This gives Korean traders another convenient way to buy and sell the token.
The timing also places both exchange launches on the same date.
Upbit’s notice said deposits and withdrawals will use the MegaETH network.
As a crypto investor, I’ve been warned to always double-check the network I’m using before sending any funds. Apparently, if I deposit using a network that isn’t supported, I might just lose my money – so it’s a really important step to take.
The exchange also said some MEGA deposits may face Travel Rule checks.
These checks will happen even if a price isn’t listed on CoinMarketCap or before trading begins on Upbit. Upbit clarified that these checks aren’t based on how much you deposit.
