Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Episode 4 Review

This article contains spoilers for Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2.

Okay, I have to say, Season 2 of Wistoria: Wand and Sword really hit its stride with Episode 4! Everything just felt leveled up – the fight animation between Will Serfort and the Devander was incredible, and Elfaria’s arrival was perfectly timed. Honestly, it felt like I was watching a season finale – the intensity and scope were just that good!

Season 2 of Wistoria strongly suggested a potential romance between Will Serfort and Mercedes, the Mage Queen. Will’s story is far from over, and we’ll likely learn more about his history, why he can’t use magic, and what new abilities he might gain in the future.

Who Is Mercedes in Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 Episode 4?

Will Serfort’s Possible Relationship With Mercedes

The fourth episode of Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2 opens with a flashback. It shows Mercedes holding a baby who appears to be Will Serfort, and she’s speaking with Finn – the character who previously lifted Will’s restrictions in episode three.

Mercedes, a highly respected and powerful witch known as the Mage Queen, made an agreement with Finn almost 500 years ago. Now, she needs Finn to locate someone capable of wielding the fifth element. That person is likely Will Serfort – a skilled swordsman in a world of magic, and the very person Finn has been searching for, as he uniquely combines the power of both magic and weaponry.

The exact nature of the agreement between Mercedes and Finn is still a mystery, but it appears Will Serfort is related to one of them. What’s clear is that Will is incredibly gifted – a powerful swordsman and athlete with the potential to become a world-changing figure.

Will Serfort and Elfaria Overpower the Devander

Will Serfort Uses the Fifth Element

The fourth episode of Wistoria Season 2 concludes the intense battle between Will Serfort and the Devander, which is being controlled by Headless and Marze. After a powerful transformation, Will Serfort easily overcomes numerous Dinoboros and finally faces the Devander that was responsible for Rosty’s death.

I watched as Will swung his sword, the Moria Silver Blade, but it just couldn’t handle the force of his attack. It shattered when it hit the Devander, putting Will in a really dangerous spot. Luckily, the sword wasn’t just steel – it could channel magic. Elfaria, the Albis Vina, stepped in and used that magical connection to help Will finally defeat the Devander.

I watched as Elfaria sent an ice blade down from the tower, and it seemed to revitalize Will Serfort’s sword. Together, with a fully powered Albis Wis, they created something new – a fifth element designed to counter the Devander’s magic-nullifying abilities. This fifth element wasn’t magic itself, and that made their combined attack, El Glace Frosse El Seven Fruzel Cardeneia, incredibly effective. They were able to defeat the Devander, as well as all the other monsters the villains had summoned within the capital’s dungeon.

Will Serfort Saves the Capital

Will Will Serfort’s Graduation Finally Happen in Wistoria Season 2?

In the premiere of Wistoria Season 2, Will Serfort initially fails his graduation exams. However, given his incredible power demonstrated while defending the capital, it’s likely he’ll earn the necessary credits to have Professor Edward reconsider his failing grade. Will successfully saved the capital city for the Magia Vander and also kept the students of the Rigarden Magical Academy safe.

The fifth episode of Wistoria: Wand and Sword Season 2, “The Day of Departure,” likely focuses on Will Serfort finally graduating from Rigarden Magical Academy. Despite Edward’s continued prejudice, the enthusiastic support Will received from his classmates during the battle with the Devander clearly demonstrates he’s accepted as a member of the magical community.

Wistoria Season 2 Episode 4 Delivers a Finale-Like Experience

Episode 4 of Wistoria Season 2 is the strongest episode yet, offering a thrilling and emotionally charged experience that feels like a season finale. It even includes a full-length credits sequence and a surprising reveal during the opening theme. If the rest of the season maintains this high quality, Wistoria, a popular spring 2026 anime, is set to continue exceeding viewers’ expectations.
