Horizon Hunters Gathering Reveals New Content and Second Playtest

A second playtest for Horizon Hunters Gathering is happening from May 22nd to 25th on PlayStation 5 and PC. Players can enjoy two familiar game modes and three returning characters, plus a bunch of fresh content – including new heroes, a new area to explore, and a brand-new story mission.

Back in February, Guerrilla Games announced Horizon Hunters Gathering with a fresh, colorful art style and a new way to play. Unlike Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, which were single-player open-world adventures, this new game focuses on three-player co-op missions. Although still early in development, Guerrilla Games is taking an unusual approach by building the game with the community through regular playtests instead of keeping the project secret.

Fans Can Play Horizon Hunters Gathering Between May 22–25

Guerrilla Games announced that the second playtest for Horizon Hunters Gathering will take place from May 22nd to May 25th. This will give a limited number of fans a chance to try out the new co-op game. To participate, you’ll need to sign up for the PlayStation Beta Program and then specifically register your interest in Horizon Hunters Gathering. If you’ve already registered, you don’t need to do it again. Selected players will receive a notification before May 22nd letting them know they’ve been chosen to join the playtest.

In this first Episode, players will pick a Hunter and work to save Ashwater Valley from an overwhelming Machine attack.
