Okay, so in Saros, there are these things called Carcosan Modifiers – basically, they’re buffs and debuffs that let you tweak the game to be as easy or as challenging as you want. I love that! It’s cool because it’s helpful for new players still learning the ropes, but also lets hardcore roguelite fans really push themselves. I’m going to walk you through all of them and show you how to turn them on and off.
All Carcosan Modifiers in Saros
Saros features 30 Carcosan Modifiers in total, split evenly between 15 that offer protection and 15 that create trials. Protection modifiers give players helpful boosts, making the game easier, while trial modifiers increase the difficulty to balance things out.
Players can use up to six special modifiers – both protective and trial-based – to customize their gameplay. Each modifier has a weight that affects a balance meter. You need to adjust the number of each type of modifier until the meter is balanced, then confirm your choices. For instance, using three protective modifiers would require two or three trial modifiers to achieve balance.
You can adjust the game’s difficulty in the settings menu. Look for “Unlimited Protection Modifiers” under the Gameplay tab. Enabling this lets you use up to six protection modifiers without needing to use trial modifiers to make the game easier. It’s a helpful option for players who want to focus on the story and enjoy Saros with a more relaxed experience.
