Previously, in a test conducted a few years ago, he found Microsoft had a slight advantage when it comes to bandwidth with the Series X against the standard PS5. With the release of the PlayStation 5 Pro, Teoh revisited the experiment and obtained similar results. Since both the PS5 Pro and the original PlayStation 5 offer the same bandwidth specs, the Xbox Series X takes the lead by offering 40Gbps of HDMI 2.1.

When it comes to HDMI bandwidth, Sony’s PS5 Pro offers 32Gbps, while the Xbox Series X provides 40Gbps. Although this gap may seem small (8Gbps), it affects the image quality of the PS5 Pro slightly more than the Xbox Series X. Both consoles can handle 4K resolution games; however, due to its lower bandwidth, the PS5 Pro must make adjustments in terms of resolution and overall performance compared to the Xbox Series X. High-resolution and overall performance have been key priorities for both the Series X and PlayStation 5, with Sony and Microsoft consistently aiming to enhance their home console’s quality.

The Xbox Series X and the rumored PS5 Pro have similar differences that might not be noticed by someone untrained in gaming tech. However, recent tests suggest a clear winner when it comes to overall data transfer speed.
