Just as classic games offer diverse items for players, Pokemon GO includes multiple types of Poke Balls that you can find, earn, or buy. Scarce Poke Balls have a greater probability of capturing Pokemon; Ultra Balls rank second in rarity and power only to the Master Ball, which instantly catches any Pokemon thrown at it. Nevertheless, there are instances where a Pokemon manages to escape even from an Ultra Ball, causing frequent annoyance among Pokemon GO players. To reduce this frustration, consider modifying how Ultra Balls function: making a Perfect Throw with an Ultra Ball could ensure an automatic catch, or at least significantly boost the automatic catch rate.
An Excellent Throw With An Ultra Ball Is A Tricky Move To Pull Off
In contrast to the traditional Pokemon games where balls are launched automatically, players in Pokemon GO must manually aim and throw each Poke Ball at the Pokemon they’re trying to capture. The accuracy of the throw can vary based on your aim and the unpredictable movements of the Pokemon, leading to missed throws or successful ones that land close to the center of the target, earning you a Nice, Great, or Excellent Throw rating.
Achieving an Exceptional Toss means accurately landing the throw right in the bullseye when the circle is at its tiniest – sometimes it’s so small that it barely shows up on a smartphone screen. This can be quite challenging, and consistently doing it takes real skill and dedication. Making numerous Exceptional Throws is usually a sign of an experienced and committed Pokemon GO player. Many complex Special Research missions require making Exceptional Throws, including tasks required to get a Master Ball. However, despite its difficulty, an Exceptional Toss only increases the catch probability slightly – a somewhat underwhelming reward, particularly when an Ultra Ball is used instead.
Automatic Catches for Excellent Ultra Ball Throws Would Reward Practice And Dedication
In simpler terms, using an Ultra Ball in Pokemon Go isn’t common and it’s incredibly annoying when you use one, or multiple, on a Pokemon only for it to escape and flee. What makes this more frustrating is that the outcome of catching the Pokemon is entirely random, which means even seasoned players at the highest level can miss a catch and lose a valuable Pokemon, including rare ones like Shinies.
Making an Excellent Throw with an Ultra Ball always result in a successful catch, or even allowing it to potentially do so, would be a fantastic way to acknowledge dedicated Pokemon GO players who consistently play and hone their skills. This change would motivate players to perfect their Poke Ball throwing technique, enabling them to make Excellent Throws more frequently. Players might also hold onto their Ultra Balls for instances where they believe they have a high chance of making an Excellent Throw, or take the risk if it’s a Pokemon they really desire, such as a Shiny one.
As a dedicated Pokémon Go gamer, I’d like to suggest an enhancement that could make raids more satisfying and engaging. You see, after successfully defeating a Raid Boss, we have to use a limited number of Premier Balls to catch it. Missing the catch can be incredibly frustrating, especially considering the time and effort invested in the raid.
So, here’s my idea: How about making an Excellent Throw against a Raid Pokémon slightly increase the chances of an automatic catch? This would make raids more rewarding and motivate us to keep honing our skills within the game. It would also add another layer of excitement to each raid encounter!
