In Black Desert’s Crimson Desert, you can find two types of Giant Iguanas: Green and Red. While they have the same stats, they look different, so we’ve explored the desert to locate them both! Here’s where to find them and what you need to feed them to tame them.
Iguanas are large, impressive mounts that make traveling across deserts easy and enjoyable. The guide below will show you where to find them and how to add these amazing creatures to your mount collection.
To feed and befriend the Iguanas, you’ll need lots of fruits and vegetables from the Grocer. Turnips are especially good – they give a big boost to Trust (+40)! You can either grow Turnips at Glenbright Farm near Hernand, or simply purchase them from the Grocer in Tomasso.
Giant Green Iguana Mount Location in Crimson Desert
Giant Green Iguanas can be found in Tommaso, a city within the Crimson Desert. While there are many of these large iguanas around, you’ll need to wear a mask because you have to steal them, even though they’re generally tame.
Okay, so the first thing you gotta do after hopping on the iguana is ride away – seriously, get out of that area fast or you’ll get a wanted level! Once you’ve put some distance between yourself and everything, open up your inventory. Then, hold down the X button (or A if you’re on Xbox) while you’ve got the Turnip selected, and click “Feed” to give it to the iguana. Keep feeding it until its Trust level hits +100. Once it does, you can press Triangle (or Y on Xbox) and click “take in” on the iguana – that’ll make it your permanent mount!
Giant Red Iguana Mount Location in Crimson Desert
You can find Giant Red Iguanas at the Iguana Hatchery, located just below the “R” in “Crimson” on the map. Be aware that these iguanas will attack their riders, so you need to defeat both the riders and the iguanas – but make sure to leave one iguana alive.
You can now use Force Palm to calm the Giant Red Iguana, and if you stun or damage it enough, you’ll be able to ride it. However, riding it isn’t the same as fully taming it!
You can befriend the Giant Red Iguana by feeding it meat, fruit, or vegetables. We especially recommend turnips – they give you a big boost of +40 Trust! To feed it, simply sit on the Iguana, open your inventory, select a turnip, and click “Feed”. Once you reach +100 Trust, press Y or Triangle to claim your Red Iguana!
