Throughout the series One Piece, the Marine Admirals have consistently proven themselves as incredibly powerful characters. They are the Navy’s greatest strength, and among all the forces of the World Government, they rank as some of the most formidable fighters. While fans recognize they have the potential to battle even the powerful Yonko, actually winning those fights is a different story.
The Marine Admirals are among the strongest characters in the world of One Piece, and they’ve shown off many impressive powers over the course of the series.
6. Ryokugyu: Groves Of Wrath
Although Admiral Greenbull hasn’t revealed the full extent of his powers yet, fans are already fascinated by what his Mori Mori no Mi can do. The most impressive ability he’s demonstrated so far is called Groves of Wrath.
This technique allows him to embed his fists into the ground and control the roots that grow from them. He can use these roots to cover his body, forming a sort of earthen armor, and also summon massive, powerful fists from the ground. Beyond that, he can spread vegetation across the entire area, giving him complete control over the surrounding terrain. This ability proved incredibly challenging for the Scabbards, and even Momonosuke, a dragon, had difficulty overcoming it. While it might not be his most powerful skill, ‘Gross of Warth’ is definitely a fascinating and versatile one.
5. Kuzan: Ice Time
Fans of former Admiral Aokiji know he’s incredibly powerful, with a wide range of abilities. His most devastating technique is definitely Ice Time, which lets him instantly freeze opponents solid, often ending a fight with a single blow. It’s powerful enough to defeat most characters in the world of One Piece with ease.
Very few people can escape being frozen solid. Whitebeard, for example, uses his Devil Fruit powers to create vibrations that shatter the ice around him. Garp relies on the sheer strength of his Conqueror’s Haki to break free. Doflamingo narrowly avoided a fatal freeze by escaping just before the ice reached his bones. However, Kuzan had the power to easily kill Doflamingo without even making a move.
4. Fujitora: Raging Tiger
Admiral Fujitora possesses impressive powers based on gravity, all thanks to the Zushi Zushi no Mi devil fruit. He likely has even more abilities hidden up his sleeve, but so far, his most powerful demonstrated technique is called Raging Tiger.
Fujitora’s technique manipulates gravity, specifically by increasing it vertically. This creates immense force, capable of destroying everything around him. He can even warp the space nearby, seriously harming opponents. However, the full extent of his power remains a mystery, as he hasn’t demonstrated his maximum capability yet in the series.
3. Kizaru: Yasakani no Magatama
Admiral Kizaru is known for his incredible powers, and his attack, Yasakani no Magatama, is arguably his strongest. It unleashes a relentless stream of light beams shaped like jewels, completely overwhelming the target. Even those with exceptional Observation Haki would have a hard time dodging it. We saw this when he used it against Marco, who could only withstand the attack thanks to the unique abilities of his Phoenix fruit.
Back in Egghead, Luffy faced this power again, but this time he was able to fight it off successfully. He also discovered he could create copies of himself using the power’s beads, which he used to confuse and attack his opponents.

2. Sengoku: Shockwaves
Sengoku, a retired Fleet Admiral, is incredibly powerful, having battled legendary pirates like Whitebeard and Roger. His Daibutsu Devil Fruit allows him to create strong shockwaves with his hands.
These powerful shockwaves can cause widespread damage, and in the anime, they’re shown to be as strong as those created by the Gura Gura no Mi. He probably has many other abilities we haven’t seen yet, but currently, his most devastating power appears to be these shockwaves, which can potentially affect entire islands.
1. Akainu: Great Eruption
Akainu’s most powerful attack is undoubtedly the Great Eruption. While he probably has other abilities he hasn’t revealed yet, Great Eruption currently appears to be his strongest. He creates a huge fist made of magma and throws it at his opponents. Because his Devil Fruit is incredibly destructive, this attack is potentially fatal to anyone it hits.
