Nadine Chakar, who leads digital assets at DTCC, explained that this partnership is part of DTCC’s larger effort to modernize financial systems using tokenization.

Chakar explained that their aim is to make managing collateral faster and more efficient – available around the clock and almost instantly – across all global markets and using blockchain technology. They plan to achieve this by using tokenization and distributed ledger technology to update how collateral moves.
