Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion Has 6 Upcoming 100% Free Games

Currently, six games are planned to be featured in Steam’s Free-to-Keep Promotion during May and June 2026. While more free games might be added, and these specific titles could change, this is the information available as of today.

Steam occasionally runs a “Free-to-Keep” promotion where paid games are offered for free, usually for a few days to a week. These promotions are decided by the game’s publisher, not Steam, and a website called Steamdb can often predict when they’ll happen. Sometimes Steam might change or cancel a promotion, as seen with the game Overcome Your Fears: Caretaker. While not guaranteed, every game that has been part of this promotion has appeared on a certain list, and we expect these games to become free in the coming weeks or months.

Upcoming Steam Free Games List

Steam has announced a “Free-to-Keep” promotion planned for May or June 2026, offering these games at no cost: Dino Running From a FURRY, Warhammer 40K: Gladius – Relics of War, Bunny Hurling, Drift86, and Remothered: Tormented Fathers. The selection includes a variety of genres, with Warhammer 40K being the most well-known title. Please note that these games aren’t currently free, but will become available on Steam in the near future.

More Games

Just to be clear, all of these games will be completely free to download and keep forever once they’re released. It’s a great deal – you really can’t beat free!

  • May 2026 – Dino running from a FURRY
  • May 2026 – Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War
  • May 2026 – Bunny Hurling
  • May 2026 – Drift86
  • Jun 2026 – Gravity Circuit
  • Jun 2026 – Remothered: Tormented Fathers

The AquaDream Soundtrack was included in a recent free promotion, but since it’s only the music, we haven’t detailed it here. Similarly, Overcome Your Fears: Caretaker is planned for a June promotion, but it was already available for free on Steam in May, so we’ve left it out of this list.

Dino running from a Furry

Dino running from a Furry is a simple, fast-paced game where you play as a cute dinosaur trying to escape someone dressed in a fursuit. If the furry catches you, the game ends! Otherwise, it’s a colorful endless runner where you dodge obstacles, collect coins, and try to beat your high score. You can even customize both the dinosaur and the person in the fursuit, as shown in the game’s images.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War

I’ve played a lot of simple games on Steam, but Warhammer is anything but! If you like things straightforward, this isn’t it. Warhammer 40K is famously complex, and Gladius – Relics of War really leans into that. Basically, you pick one of four factions – the Astra Militarum, Space Marines, Orks, or Necrons – and battle it out for control of a planet’s resources. It’s a turn-based strategy game where you really need to think ahead and build up your forces!

  • Each faction has a unique playstyle and technology tree
  • World maps are randomly generated with special features, environmental effects, and wildlife
  • Players wage war over powerful artifacts, while constructing cities, buildings, and fortifications from technology and resources available on-planet.
  • Players control a wide array of weaponry, tactical options, and city operations
  • Hero Units have special abilities and can be equipped with items

Bunny Hurling

While Dino is straightforward and Warhammer notoriously complicated, Bunny Hurling is surprisingly tricky. Players take on the role of a bunny hunter, tracking rabbits in the woods and launching them into a castle based on the King’s orders. If you don’t deliver enough bunnies, the King won’t be pleased—and the rabbits themselves start to change in strange ways. The game combines stealth and timing as you hunt, but the woods hold more than just bunnies. The King’s forest is described as expansive and filled with unusual discoveries.

Drift86

Drift86 is a racing game all about drifting. Players earn points by chaining drifts together, all while listening to upbeat Eurobeat music designed to get you speeding. It’s a simple game featuring 30 tracks, 40 cars, and multiplayer options. It could be a fun experience, especially considering it’s free to play.

Gravity Circuit

Gravity Circuit is a fast-paced 2D platformer that feels like the classic Mega Man games. The story takes place in a futuristic world where a robot army is infected with a virus, and a single operative, equipped with the powers of the Gravity Circuit, must stop them. The game is a throwback to platformers from the 80s and 90s, offering a single-player campaign with 12 levels. Each level features unique challenges to test your combat and platforming abilities, and is full of hidden secrets and people to save.

Remothered: Tormented Fathers

Remothered: Tormentered Fathers is a suspenseful survival horror game available on Steam. Players control Rosemary Reed as she searches for a missing girl, Celeste, in the home of Richard Felton. The game features a gripping psychological story, cinematic cutscenes, and a truly immersive atmosphere. It emphasizes realistic survival, relying on sound and strategic thinking rather than traditional health bars. Players will need to use stealth, action, and careful planning to overcome dangerous enemies, including relentless stalkers similar to iconic villains like Mr. X and Jack Baker from the Resident Evil series.
