All Aswang Evidence & Weaknesses in Phasmophobia

The Aswang is a terrifying ghost that feeds on blood and dead bodies. If that doesn’t scare you, learning about its abilities and how to counter them might! This ghost was recently added to Phasmophobia during the Alan Wake event, so it’s important to know how to recognize it.

Here’s what you need to know about identifying the Aswang, including a helpful trick for spotting it even when clues are scarce. We’re confident this will make it much easier to figure out who the Aswang is.

All Aswang Evidence in Phasmophobia

  • D.O.T.S. Projector
  • Freezing Temperatures
  • Ghost Writing

As mentioned earlier, the three key items you need are the D.O.T.S. projector, a thermometer, and the ghost writing book. Remember to bring these with you into the ghost room โ€“ you should have already planned to, but it’s a good reminder!

All Aswang Strengths, Weaknesses, and No-Evidence Tells in Phasmophobia

If an Aswang sees you go into a designated safe area while it’s hunting, it will stop the hunt. You can use Incense to attract an Aswang and lead it to one of these safe spots, such as a closet. If the hunt ends when the Aswang follows you inside, you’ve successfully identified it.

When we talk about hiding spots, we mean the ones specifically built into the game, such as closets in Tanglewood or areas behind boxes and pallets. This is different from places players discover on their own, like hiding behind doors.

During a no-evidence run, pay attention to how fast the Aswang moves. It normally hunts at 1.53 meters per second, but it reaches top speed in 17.44 seconds if a player sees it โ€“ much faster than the usual 26 seconds.

The Aswang and Revenant are similar in speed, but the Aswang is faster. It moves at 1.53 meters per second until it sees you, while the Revenant moves at 1 meter per second until it sees you.
