How to Get Weapon Fragments Fast in Far Far West

In Far Far West, you get new weapons and gadgets by collecting Fragments, which you earn after defeating bosses in missions. While quickly defeating bosses is a reliable way to unlock items, it can actually reduce the number of Fragments you receive, potentially slowing down your progress by as much as four times. If you want to get new gear as quickly as possible during each playthrough, keep the following tips in mind.

Fastest Way to Unlock Weapons in Far Far West

In Far Far West, players can find extra weapon and item Fragments during missions by exploring these three locations:

  1. Wishing Wells
  2. Coyotes
  3. Forges

These items are pretty rare, so you might not find them every time you play. However, if you’re hoping to collect up to four Fragments in one playthrough, it’s worth actively searching for them.

Wishing Wells

Wishing Wells are the most frequently found of these three items. If you’re hoping to collect more than one Weapon Fragment in Far Far West, you should throw coins into Wishing Wells whenever you can.

Here’s the catch: Wishing Wells are unpredictable. When you toss a coin, you don’t always get Fragments. Sometimes you’ll receive Gold or Souls to improve your equipment and Hero. But be careful! There’s a chance the well will explode, instantly ending the mission for everyone caught in the blast. After using a Wishing Well, quickly run to a safe distance to see what happens.

Coyotes

Coyotes are quick, goblin-like creatures that run around carrying a large bag of loot. They’re tough enough to withstand some damage, and they can easily escape if you’re too slow. Luckily, defeating a Coyote always rewards you with a Fragment. If you spot one in the Far Far West, prioritize chasing it down!

Forge Anvils

Sometimes, a large blacksmith’s area will appear on the map. If you use the anvil inside, it will activate and trigger a wave of enemies with a time limit.

Speaking of maps, keep an eye out for Graves in Far Far Westfor additional rewards.

Enemies will attack from every side, and your main objective is to stay alive long enough for the forging to finish. When it’s done, a Fragment will appear on the anvil.

Don’t Forget to Track Equipment

Head to the Gunsmith in town to choose which weapon or gadget you want to unlock next. Simply select the item and press the ‘Track’ button. This will make sure that all the Fragments you earn during missions go towards unlocking that specific item. If you don’t track anything, the game will choose your next unlock automatically.

To unlock a new weapon, you’ll first need to collect six Fragments. Once you have all the Fragments, you can purchase the weapon from the Gunsmith using Gold. If you’ve previously spent Gold on weapon upgrades, you can get that Gold back by removing those upgrades.
