How to Complete the Area 41 Secret Quest in Far Far West

Far Far West starts out as a pretty straightforward game, but the hidden quests add a lot of depth. These quests, like the one involving cacti, are scattered across the map and encourage you to really explore everything.

Usually, these areas are limited to one map, but this one is unique. You may have noticed broken moon fragments scattered across some of the maps while exploring.

These clues are connected to a hidden mission for Area 41. Remember what you’ve found, or use this guide to complete the Area 41 quest and earn some great rewards.

Where to Find the Crashed Moons

You can find these items hidden on four different maps. Each one features a symbol on one side, and dots underneath that show you the correct order to arrange them in.

If you’re playing with others, someone might already have some information, so it’s a good idea to check. If you’re playing alone, you can find the maps in the correct order by looking at the clues you get when you interact with the moon in Area 41.

You’ll be visiting the following maps:

  • Far West
  • Desert
  • Canyon
  • Woodlands

Far West Moon

You’ll likely find this one first as you explore the map. If you’re playing with friends, it can be easy to miss, so it’s a good idea to have someone take a picture of it.

You’ll find this one in the south, close to the river. Look for it in the cornfield – that’s where alien activity usually shows up.

Desert Moon

You’ll probably come across this item easily in the Desert. It looks like mission objectives often appear nearby, so you’ll likely find it just by playing the mission.

You’ll find a small landmass at the very bottom of the map where the moon is located. However, be aware that a Marauder base is close by, and they may continue to attack you while you’re there.

Canyon Moon

Luckily, you can access the Canyon map right away, so finding this item isn’t difficult. It’s not hidden very well, but its color can make it hard to spot from a distance.

This item is located on the far western edge of the map. It’s surrounded by cacti arranged in a circle – it appears whatever is dropping these cacti has a preference for circular patterns.

Woodlands Moon

This one’s a little trickier to obtain, as you first need to unlock the Woodland map. While unlocking it isn’t too hard, it will take a few attempts.

Look to the eastern side of the map for a relatively open space. The moon is located in the center of this area, but it can be hard to spot due to the colors and lots of trees blocking your view.

Area 41 Moon Puzzle

Area 41 is where you’ll input all the symbols you’ve collected. If you discover it early on, it might seem a bit unclear at first, as there’s only one hint about its purpose.

Enter the symbols in the order you received them, then press the button. If the sequence is incorrect, you’ll hear a sound and the machine will restart. If you enter it correctly, the machine will light up and confirm that it’s finished.

You don’t need to locate every single item. Just entering the correct symbols will complete the mission.

Rewards

You’ll earn a reward like the one from the Bell quest – a Joker card. This one’s for your gun, so keep that in mind when you’re preparing.

You’ll receive the following reward for completing this quest:

  • Anti-Gravity Falls – +2% chance to spawn an anti-gravity area when an enemy dies

That concludes this part of the game. There are still plenty of secrets to uncover in this first-person shooter, so team up with friends and explore the Far Far West to discover everything it has to offer.
