PlayStation Plus subscribers can expect a lot of changes next Tuesday, May 19th. New games will be added to the Extra and Premium tiers, while other popular titles will be removed. This monthly update means it’s a good idea to check which games are being added and taken away to make the most of your subscription.
May 19th will be a particularly active day for PlayStation Plus members, but May 2026 is already shaping up to be a big month overall. Earlier in the month, Essential tier subscribers received a free selection of games: EA Sports FC 26, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Nine Sols. Those with Extra or Premium subscriptions get these same free games, plus even more exclusive titles launching on May 19th.
PlayStation Plus is getting a significant update on May 19th. Subscribers to PS Plus Extra will receive several new titles, including Bramble: The Mountain King, Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged, Enotria: The Last Song, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, Star Wars Outlaws, and The Thaumaturge. PS Plus Premium members will get all of those games, plus the classic PlayStation 1 game Time Crisis.

May 2026’s PlayStation Plus Extra lineup is led by two major titles: Red Dead Redemption 2 and Star Wars Outlaws. Red Dead Redemption 2, a critically acclaimed open-world western from Rockstar Games, is considered by many to be one of the greatest video games ever made. Star Wars Outlaws is an open-world sci-fi adventure with stealth gameplay that initially received mixed reactions, but has gained more positive recognition thanks to updates released after it launched.

May 19th will be a mixed day for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members. While new games are being added to the service, several titles will be removed. Subscribers will lose access to Control: Ultimate Edition, Mortal Shell, Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition, MotoGP 25, Sand Land, Soul Hackers 2, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan, and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope on that date.
The removal of Control: Ultimate Edition will probably be the biggest loss. Control received excellent reviews when it came out and is still a favorite among fans at Remedy Entertainment. It’s disappointing to see it go from PS Plus Extra, but the new games added to the service should help make up for it.
