One Piece: 7 Strongest Mythical Zoan Transformations, Ranked

The story of One Piece has increasingly highlighted Zoan-type Devil Fruits, particularly as the final arc unfolds. Mythical Zoan Fruits are the rarest and most powerful of these, and the author, Eiichiro Oda, has introduced many users with these abilities recently. Each Mythical Zoan grants its user unique powers, and some even allow for incredible transformations. While the strength of these transformations varies, a few are exceptionally powerful, offering world-altering capabilities.

6. Human-Divine Wolf Form

The Wano arc featured many Devil Fruits that transform the user into animals, known as Zoan types. Most of these were Ancient Zoan fruits, allowing transformations into prehistoric creatures, but a few were Mythical Zoans. Yamato, the child of Kaido, possessed one of these Mythical Zoan fruits – the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Okuchi no Makami – which allowed them to transform into a divine wolf guardian of Wano.

Yamato can transform into both a hybrid and a full Zoan form, but her hybrid form has been more effective in battle, like during her fight with Kaido. She was able to match Kaido’s own hybrid form in combat until Luffy joined the fight. This Mythical Zoan ability, which includes ice powers, is undeniably one of the strongest.

In the world of One Piece, it’s rare for Admirals to have Zoan-type Devil Fruits. Most Admirals possess Logia abilities, but Sengoku, a former Fleet Admiral, is an exception. He has the Mythical Zoan Hito Hito no Mi, model: Daibutsu, which was the first of its kind revealed and is incredibly strong.

This Devil Fruit lets Sengoku transform into a Buddha, granting him immense power, including the ability to generate incredibly strong shockwaves – a feat he demonstrated at Marineford. The Five Elders have been a mysterious part of the One Piece story for a long time, but their abilities were recently revealed during the Egghead Arc. We finally saw them properly introduced and witnessed their powerful Yokai transformations. It’s currently unknown whether these transformations come from Devil Fruits or a special agreement made by Imu, but they appear to be a type of Mythical Zoan ability.

Each of the Elders possesses a unique Yokai power, and while those abilities are impressive, their true strength lies in their full Zoan transformations. These forms proved so powerful that Luffy and the Straw Hats were forced to retreat rather than fight them directly.

4. Drum Dragon

User: Kaido

Kaido was the main villain of the Yonko Saga, and his fight with Luffy was incredible to watch. During the battle on Onigashima, he demonstrated the full power of his Devil Fruit, the Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu, which gave him several extremely powerful transformations. Though his hybrid form was strong, he was at his most dangerous when he fully transformed into his Drum Dragon form.

Although it hasn’t been officially stated, Kaido’s Dragon Form appears to be the awakened version of his Devil Fruit power. In this form, he covers himself in fiery magma and grows to an enormous size – comparable to the entire island of Onigashima. He can melt anything he touches, even islands, making it an incredibly powerful transformation that rivals any other Zoan ability in the world of One Piece.

3. Nidhoggr

User: Loki

The Elbaf Arc revealed several powerful Mythical Zoan Devil Fruits, and Loki’s Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhoggr stands out as one of the best. We haven’t seen Loki’s hybrid form yet, but his full transformation is already incredibly impressive. When fully transformed, Loki grows to an enormous size, easily dwarfing both Ragnir and Luffy in his Giant Gear 5 form – he’s as large as an island! This transformation also gives him powerful lightning abilities that he can use in many ways, and these abilities are strong enough to cause global destruction. It’s easily one of the most striking transformations we’ve seen, particularly in the Final Saga.

Throughout most of the One Piece series, fans believed Luffy’s Devil Fruit was a Paramecia type called the Gomu Gomu no Mi. But during the Onigashima arc, when the fruit awakened, it was revealed to be a Mythical Zoan – the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.

Awakening this Devil Fruit unlocks a unique form, called Gear 5 by Luffy. It’s not yet known if Gear 5 is a partial or complete transformation, but it’s incredibly powerful, essentially turning Luffy into the Sun God Nika. While in Gear 5, Luffy’s imagination becomes reality, and he can even change his environment – like turning things into rubber. This form also grants him immense size, allowing him to become larger than Kaido.

Currently, Imu’s Devil Fruit transformation appears to be the most powerful Mythical Zoan ability shown in One Piece. While its exact type isn’t confirmed, it strongly resembles a Mythical Zoan. This fruit is known as Akuma no Mi, which translates to ‘The Devil’s Fruit’.

Okay, so I’m completely blown away by Imu’s demon form! It’s not just a cosmetic change – he literally transforms into a powerful devil with horns, wings, and even tan skin. But the real kicker is this ability called God’s Domination. He draws power from these pacts he makes, and then unleashes these crazy black flames, Maki, that are unbelievably destructive – we’re talking potentially taking out powerhouses like Zoro and Sanji, and even overwhelming someone as strong as Loki! It gets even wilder – he can turn anyone into a demonic slave with a power called Domi Reversi. And if that wasn’t enough, he can give his followers these Covenants that basically make them immortal, super strong, and constantly regenerating. Honestly, seeing this transformation, I’m convinced Imu becomes a one-man army – it’s easily the strongest form we’ve seen in One Piece so far!
