Throughout your adventure in Pragmata, you’ll find more than just charming comments from Diana about how you’re doing. You’ll also unlock upgrades, hacking points, and new weapons to help you defeat the enemy robots.
Every weapon in the game serves a purpose. Some, like one particular weapon, will let you add more hacking points to your attacks. Others will slow down enemies, giving you a chance to respond.
Pragmata features 16 unique weapons, and choosing the right ones to take on each mission can be challenging. Your weapon selection is crucial for survival.
16. Hacking Mines
More Hacking

Okay, so if I had to pick the least favorite weapon in Pragmata, it’d be the Hacking Mines. Honestly, there aren’t really any truly bad weapons in this game, and the Hacking Mines can be useful, but they’re really only worth using if you’re specifically building a character around hacking. Otherwise, you’ll probably find better options.
This weapon lets you deploy mines that Diana can hack. It expands what Diana can do with her hacking skills, but essentially asks you to apply your usual gameplay to a new type of target.
The area-of-effect damage is decent, but it’s significantly weaker than other weapons, and the required hacking adds an unnecessary hassle.
15. Lim Cannon
Goodbye Lunafilament
We enjoy seeing powerful attacks, but we don’t want players to constantly use up their limited Lunafilament just to achieve them – and that’s the issue with the Lim Cannon. This weapon fires using Lunafilament, which means it needs a large amount of ammo to be effective.
This weapon requires 300 Lunafilament to charge. While that’s manageable if you’ve finished the game and collected resources, it doesn’t replenish what it uses, meaning it constantly consumes your supplies.
It’s also disappointing that this weapon can only target one enemy at a time. This feels underwhelming, especially considering you have to finish the game and extra missions to even unlock it.
14. Charge Piercer
Charge and Shoot
The Charge Piercer is really useful because it can hit several enemies with a single shot, especially when they’re lined up. However, battles can get messy, and it’s not always easy to get a clear shot through multiple targets.
This weapon needs to be charged before firing to increase its damage and let it shoot through opponents. However, it’s tricky to charge because enemies often interrupt you before it’s fully ready.
It’s effective when it functions correctly, but unfortunately, it doesn’t work reliably enough to be considered a top choice.
13. Homing Missiles
Missile Spread
Homing Missiles are a solid weapon, although you need to charge them up to use them effectively. When you charge them, they lock onto enemies, and holding the charge longer creates more missiles that can hit multiple targets.
The main problem with this weapon, like many that need charging, is how long it takes to fully charge. It’s important to upgrade it quickly to maximize its potential, because other weapons will do more damage if you don’t.
This weapon is generally strong, dealing good damage and effectively hitting multiple targets with its missile spread. However, its slow charging speed prevents it from being a top pick.
12. Decoy Generator
Take a Break
The Decoy Generator is one of the first defensive tools you’ll unlock, and it’s really useful for dealing with large groups of enemies. When activated, it creates a decoy that draws enemy fire, causing them to target the decoy instead of you.
This ability is a useful way to pause fighting, but it’s not always reliable. Occasionally, enemies don’t react to it as expected. We’re not sure if this is a bug, or if it only works on a limited number of opponents, but we’ve been caught off guard while trying to use it for safety.
Plus, your other defensive units are much more helpful in combat now. While this one still works fine, having things like deployable cover or drones to provide support is significantly more effective.
11. Sticky Bombs
Shrink the Hacking Matrix
You’ll unlock Sticky Bombs when you get to the Terra Dome, and they’re incredibly helpful in certain parts of the game – you’ll start to see exactly when as you play.
This weapon assists Diana with her hacking and also causes damage over time. Every bomb that hits an enemy reduces the size of the hacking matrix, eventually making it as small as a three-by-three grid for easier hacking.
We haven’t ranked this weapon higher because hacking isn’t a common enough problem to make it essential. Other weapons are generally more useful, unless you’re facing an enemy with extremely powerful hacking defenses that need to be neutralized.
10. Code Generator
Hacking Specialists
The Code Generator is a support unit designed to boost Diana’s hacking damage. It’s a large device that fires a broad digital net, attaching light blue nodes to enemies’ hacking interfaces.
Going through several of these points lets you inflict extra damage on enemies, which is especially helpful if your character focuses on hacking as a primary attack method.
This weapon is particularly strong in specific situations, but it’s also helpful in general gameplay because it can break through enemy defenses. However, its niche use is why it’s ranked lower overall.
9. Impact Barrier
Protection
As you face increasingly dangerous challenges on the moon, it’s important to stay protected – for both you and Diana. The Impact Barrier provides that protection, creating a shield around you to block enemy fire.

This shield blocks enemy fire and stops most enemies from getting to you, creating a temporary safe zone for hacking. It’s incredibly useful when used strategically, especially when facing multiple opponents in a chaotic battle.
This ability isn’t ranked higher because its shield doesn’t last long and it can’t be used while moving. It would be much better if the shield followed you as you moved around.
8. Stasis Net
Slow Them Down
Initially, enemies in Pragmata will be slow-moving, but they’ll get much faster as the game goes on and you encounter tougher opponents. The Statis Net is a tool you can use to slow enemies down, giving you a chance to respond and strategize.
Firing this weapon creates an area that dramatically slows enemies. It reduces their speed so much that you can safely approach them without taking damage.
Need to escape a tough spot? The Stasis Net can slow down enemies, giving you time to flee and hack them safely without fear of pursuit. It does deal some damage, but not enough to be a major threat.
7. Pulse Carbine
Heat Them Up
The Pulse Carbine is the first weapon on this list that can really inflict damage. It’s an improved version of the Grip Gun, but instead of functioning like a pistol, it fires like a rapid-shooting assault rifle, quickly overheating opponents.
With the right setup, the Pulse Carbine quickly fills an enemy’s heat meter, making them vulnerable so you can capitalize and attack.
This weapon is best for players who focus on building up heat, so it might not be as useful for those who prefer hacking or rely on hacking-based abilities. That’s why it’s ranked lower on the list.
