PlayStation Plus members on the Extra or Premium plans now have access to a fresh selection of games. Sony simplified its subscription services a while back by merging PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now into the current three-tier PlayStation Plus system.
PlayStation Plus comes in three levels. The basic level, PS Plus Essential, lets PS4 and PS5 owners play games online and offers a few free games each month. These free games change regularly. The next level, PS Plus Extra, includes a large library of PS4 and PS5 games that you can play as long as they’re available – new games are added and removed, similar to how Netflix works. The highest tier, PS Plus Premium, gives you access to a collection of older games from PlayStation consoles like the PS1, PS2, PSP, and PS3.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium members now have new games to enjoy! The Extra tier has been updated with seven titles: Bramble: The Mountain King, Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged, Enotria: The Last Song, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, Star Wars Outlaws, and The Thaumaturge. Premium members get one new addition: the classic PlayStation 1 game Time Crisis, which is available to play completely.

May 2026’s new PS Plus Extra and Premium lineup features a couple of particularly exciting titles. Star Wars Outlaws, while initially receiving mixed reviews, has been significantly improved and is now considered by many to be a hidden gem. The May 2026 PS Plus Extra and Premium games are now available, and subscribers can look forward to the next update with the June games. These free June games will be released on Tuesday, June 2nd, and Sony will announce what they are on Wednesday, May 27th.
