Grand Theft Auto 6
Simply In a League of Its Own
There are a lot of exciting open-world games on the horizon, but Grand Theft Auto 6 is truly in a class of its own. Rockstar Games’ experience, huge budget, massive scale, and years of development suggest it will be an incredible game, even just based on the trailers. Assuming there are no more delays, GTA 6 is poised to become a new industry benchmark, just like previous titles such as GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
The excitement for GTA 6 is incredibly high, perhaps even a bit excessive. Fans are constantly analyzing every little detail – even things like patents – to guess what the game will be like. However, Rockstar has a reputation for exceeding expectations and releasing games that are even more impressive than what was initially shown. So, it’s best to be patient – GTA 6 (and the third trailer) will arrive when it’s fully ready. But with a game this huge, avoiding spoilers feels almost impossible!
The Witcher 4
A New Dark Fantasy Saga Begins
The next Witcher game is highly anticipated, especially considering the massive success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. While CD Projekt Red doesn’t want to outdo their previous masterpiece, they’re clearly aiming high with this new installment. Based on an early tech demo, the game hopes to become the ultimate fantasy open-world experience, one that will be remembered for years to come. It will start a fresh story in the Witcher universe and is planned as the first game in a trilogy focusing on the character Ciri.
The next Witcher game appears to be focused on building on the strong storytelling the series is known for in open-world games, and also introducing a more dynamic and realistic game world with characters that feel truly lifelike. CD Projekt Red likely learned from the difficult launch of Cyberpunk 2077, so The Witcher 4 probably won’t be rushed. However, some fans are worried about the game’s move to Unreal Engine 5, as that engine still has some known problems. Another concern is whether Ciri will be as engaging a character to play as Geralt was.

Okay, so the team behind this game has a good track record, which is encouraging. But I’m still a little worried about how Light No Fire will actually play out. They’re promising a huge world, and I’m hoping it’s actually interesting to explore, not just a big empty space. I really want the story and world-building to be deep and immersive – something that pulls me in, instead of just being another survival game where you build stuff. Honestly, it sounds almost too good to be true, so I’m really hoping this ambitious, limitless world doesn’t end up being the game’s downfall.
Assassin’s Creed Hexe
A Breath of Fresh Air for the Series
Okay, so Assassin’s Creed Hexe is easily the most talked-about upcoming game for me, and it’s kinda crazy because Ubisoft hasn’t even officially announced it yet! We’ve only gotten bits and pieces, mostly through rumors and leaks, but honestly, it’s already building up to be the most hyped AC game in ages. Everything I’ve seen suggests Hexe is going to be a really big change for the series, and a lot of fans – including me – are hoping it’s exactly what Assassin’s Creed needs to feel new again.
Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about Assassin’s Creed Hexe, and it sounds seriously different. Apparently, it’s going to be the darkest Assassin’s Creed game yet, set during the witch trials in 16th-century Europe. They’re really focusing on the story this time, and bringing that classic Assassin vs. Templar conflict back to the forefront. Ubisoft is saying it’s a really unique take on the formula, a big departure from games like AC Shadows. From what I’ve heard internally, everyone at Ubisoft is super excited to be working on it – it sounds like it’s shaping up to be something special. But, you know, since we haven’t actually seen anything yet, I’m trying not to get my hopes up too high just in case.
Project Windless
Exotic in More Than One Way
Project Windless feels like it could be the next big open-world fantasy game, similar to Crimson Desert. It promises a truly unique world and large-scale battles, which are rare these days. The game features a compelling protagonist – a powerful bird warrior from the Rekon race – who easily defeats enemies, offering exciting potential for a one-person army fantasy. Everything shown in the initial trailers – the graphics, music, combat, and world design – is incredibly high quality, demonstrating Krafton’s confidence in the game and making Project Windless a very promising upcoming title.
Adding to its appeal, Project Windless isn’t a completely original idea. The game’s detailed and unique world is actually based on the popular Korean fantasy novel, The Bird That Drinks Tears, though the game’s story takes place thousands of years before the events of the book. The game centers around an ancient war between the Rekon and Nhaga races. Project Windless promises a deep backstory, imaginative world-building, and exciting, action-packed battles, and it certainly seems promising so far – hopefully, it lives up to the hype.
