What Do Towers Do in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

Even when you’re not playing the main story, there’s a lot to do in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. You can collect items, stop crimes all over Gotham City, and solve the Riddler’s puzzles, ensuring there’s always action happening in every district.

As you travel between islands in LEGO Batman Legacy, you’ll eventually find Towers. These Towers only appear on the map when you’re nearby, and you can’t reach them at first. If you’re wondering what the Towers do and when you’ll be able to access them, this guide has all the answers, plus a complete list of Tower locations in Gotham.

How To Access Towers in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight

If you find a Tower on the map with a locked icon, don’t bother looking for a puzzle! These Towers aren’t unlocked with secrets – they specifically require Batgirl to open them as you advance the story.

Batgirl becomes a member of the team at the beginning of Chapter 4, and once you finish her first mission, you can play as her in Gotham City. When you gain control of Batgirl, go back to the Towers around the city. You can use her Batarang to activate a button near each Tower, which will start a hacking puzzle – these are similar to the puzzles you’ve seen during story missions.

To solve the puzzle, just head to the middle. Once you do, the Tower will turn on and send out a signal across the area. These Towers are designed to show you where to find collectibles on your map, which will make finding them much easier as you play.

Okay, so even after you light up a Tower, you’re not done collecting everything! Some of the really good stuff is still hidden. You often need to get further in the story or unlock new movement abilities – like a double jump or something – before those collectibles actually show up on your map. It’s a bit annoying, but makes the world feel more rewarding when you finally can get to them.
