The Epic Games Store announced its free games for May 21st. Although only two games are listed, one is actually a collection of three classic Tomb Raider games – the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered trilogy – effectively giving players four games for free.
From May 14th to May 21st, Epic Games Store gave away two free games: The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition and the cooperative strategy RPG Sunderfolk. Unlike usual, Epic didn’t announce these games beforehand. They were released as part of the Mystery Games promotion, which hadn’t been used since late 2025.

Alright gamers, Epic Games Store is at it again with another freebie! This week they’re giving away both Down in Bermuda and the Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered collection. Technically, since that Tomb Raider bundle includes three games, we’re getting four titles for absolutely nothing! These games usually cost around $50 total, which is a bit less than last week’s giveaway, but still a fantastic deal. You’ve got until May 28th – 8 AM Pacific, 11 AM Eastern, or 5 PM Central European Time – to grab them and add them to your library. Don’t miss out!

What Kind of Game is Down in Bermuda?
Down in Bermuda is a single-player puzzle game created by Australian studio Yak & Co. Players take on the role of Milton, a pilot stranded in the Bermuda Triangle, and must solve puzzles on a series of strange islands to find a way out. Originally released as part of Apple Arcade in September 2019, the game became available on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox in January 2021.
The Tomb Raider series is incredibly well-known, with Lara Croft being a gaming icon. Aspyr’s remastered collection launched in February 2024 and received mostly positive feedback, earning an average score of 75 on OpenCritic. Critics liked the updated controls and other improvements, but pointed out that the games still have the same camera problems as the originals. Like Down in Bermuda, this Tomb Raider remaster bundle had never been given away for free on the Epic Games Store before.
Although Down in Bermuda and Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered play very differently, they both offer adventure-style gameplay. The current Mystery Games promotion on the Epic Games Store isn’t connected by a single theme, unlike previous promotions which often revolved around ideas like cats, Halloween, or the holidays. The promotion will continue for at least another week, and the Epic Games Store has announced that “Mystery Game 5” and “Mystery Game 6” will be available next week.
