The new games for PlayStation Plus in May 2026 are now available, and many of them have received excellent reviews. At the start of the month, a selection of free games was added for PlayStation Plus Essential members. Then, mid-month, the game libraries for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium were updated with even more titles.
May 2026’s free PlayStation Plus games include EA Sports FC 26, Nine Sols, and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers for Essential members. Extra tier subscribers gained access to Bramble: The Mountain King, Broken Sword – Shadows of the Templar: Reforged, Enotria: The Last Song, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Red Dead Redemption 2, Star Wars Outlaws, and The Thaumaturge. Premium members received the classic PS1 game, Time Crisis. A few games, like Mortal Shell, Control: Ultimate Edition, and several from the Dark Pictures series, were removed from the Extra and Premium tiers, but overall it was a great month for PlayStation Plus.

The new PS Plus games for May 2026 are looking good – even the lowest-rated title, Enotria: The Last Song, has a respectable 69/100 score on Metacritic. While not a perfect score, many games in that range end up being surprisingly enjoyable. In fact, Enotria has received “Very Positive” reviews on Steam, so fans of Soulslike games should check it out with their PS Plus Extra subscription.

The top new game for PS Plus in May 2026 is Red Dead Redemption 2, and that’s no surprise – it’s widely considered one of the best video games of all time. Rockstar’s western is incredibly popular and often praised as a masterpiece, and for good reason. The game’s story, characters, and stunning world are truly exceptional. Adding a game of this quality to PS Plus is a huge benefit for subscribers, especially for those disappointed to see the original Red Dead Redemption leaving the PS Plus Extra library in June 2026.
PlayStation Plus members can expect a new batch of free games on June 2nd, and we’ll likely find out what they are next Wednesday, May 27th. Plus, even more games will be added to the PS Plus Extra and Premium tiers in June, giving subscribers lots of new options to play next month.
