Episode 6 of Ascendance of a Bookworm is a standout success, especially with its charming harspiel concert, making it the most enjoyable episode of Season 4 so far. The episode’s relaxed pace and sweet moments, like the playful rivalry between Rozemyne and Ferdinand, highlight what makes this series so special within the isekai genre. Now, as we wait for Episode 7, we’re left eagerly anticipating what will happen next.
I just finished the latest episode, and it seems like a lot of storylines are still unfolding. We’re likely going to see Johann finish up his work with the wax machine before the show moves on to what’s next for Rozemyne. Season 4, Episode 7 of Ascendance of a Bookworm really expands on the world of Ehrenfest and how Rozemyne is finding her place within it. The high bishop is focused on getting ready for the Harvest Festival, and Ferdinand is definitely pushing Rozemyne hard during her magic training – he’s not letting up at all!
What Time Does Ascendance of a Bookworm Episode 43 Come Out?
I’ve been following Season 4 of Ascendance of a Bookworm, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite anime this spring! New episodes are released every Saturday, and I’m excited to share that Episode 7, titled Adopted Daughter of an Archduke, will be available on Crunchyroll and Amazon Prime Video on May 23rd. For those on the West Coast, you can catch it at 1:30am PT, 3:30am CT for those in the central time zone, and 4:30am ET.
Fans in Japan can watch the latest episode of Ascendance of a Bookworm: Adopted Daughter of an Archduke on the Nippon News Network (NNN) and its partner stations. You can also find Season 4, Episode 7 on Japanese streaming platforms like d Anime Store, U-NEXT, Abema TV, and Hulu Japan.
Ehrenfest’s Idol: High Priest Ferdinand Superstar
Episode 6 revealed that Ehrenfest’s nobility aren’t as proper as everyone thinks. Stories about noblewomen fainting from Ferdinand’s voice – caused by an overload of mana – will likely be talked about for a long time. Combined with images of Ferdinand circulating among the noblewomen, this is sure to cause some drama. However, Rozemyne doesn’t seem concerned, as she’s focused on a new project: selling merchandise featuring the High Priest!
I’ve noticed a pattern – if one powerful noble gets what he wants, another soon follows, and it looks like Ferdinand isn’t alone in attracting both goods and admirers. Sylvester’s recent performance was a surprisingly perfect finale, and it just reinforces what everyone already suspects: in his world, nothing can stop Sylvester from making his presence known, wherever and whenever he pleases.
Rozemyne’s newest invention, a machine for making wax copies, is creating even more business for Ehrenfest’s printing industry. Ferdinand’s portraits are incredibly popular, and Zack’s machine will help Rozemyne and her team keep up with the nobles’ demand for posters of the famously aloof High Priest. While Johann is also working on a similar machine, we may see his finished product in the next season.
By the end of episode six, viewers begin to understand the huge emotional event Rozemyne is about to face. It wasn’t long before Ferdinand figured out what Rozemyne was up to with her quick-moving business plan. He was understandably upset to discover he’d been secretly used as a promotional figure, which broke the rules of the concert and felt like a personal intrusion. Rozemyne is now hoping Ferdinand won’t be too angry when he sees how much money her efforts will bring to both the duchy and the temple.
Episode 43 Invites Us to the Hasse’s Monastery Arc
Even after the concert is over and all the money is counted, Rozemyne still has a lot of work to do. Like many determined characters in anime, she immediately focuses on her next task. This means putting aside her passion for books and printing to fulfill her duties as a high bishop and get ready for the Harvest Festival.
The Harvest Festival Preparations
A high bishop’s work never stops, particularly as summer turns to fall in Ehrenfest. As we begin Episode 7, you can almost smell the excitement building for the upcoming Harvest Festival.
Now that Rozemyne is a high bishop, she’s taking on new responsibilities. People expect her to handle everything from collecting taxes and performing baptisms to leading important ceremonies like coming-of-age rituals and dedications.
Rozemyne is incredibly busy, and the latest chapter of Ascendance of a Bookworm (Season 4) suggests she’s pushing herself too hard. This could lead to her health declining, at least in appearance, as she struggles to balance everything.
The Hard-Knock Life of Hasse’s Orphans
Throughout the series, one thing is clear: Ehrenfest seems to have a lot of orphans, and the town of Hasse is no different. Even though the new monastery is quickly gaining wealth – largely thanks to Ferdinand’s surprisingly successful, if unconventional, services – it still needs more people. So, Rozemyne and her team are working to find and recruit new monks to join their ranks and contribute to the monastery’s work.
The anime Ascendance of a Bookworm continues to stand out in its genre, and episode 7 promises to expand on its detailed world-building. We’ll likely meet new characters and learn more about the recently constructed monastery. Rozemyne appears to be facing increasing difficulties within Hasse’s Monastery, complicated by her unique position as both a noble and a high bishop.
Rozemyne’s Noble Etiquette Lessons
Although Rozemyne’s harp concert was a hit, she still needs to improve her social skills. While the world of Ehrenfest offers a deeply emotional and engaging anime experience, Rozemyne’s journey ahead won’t be easy. As she takes on more duties as a noble, she’ll likely face increasing challenges from those who are skeptical of or indifferent to high society.
Episode 7 is likely to be entertaining as Ferdinand starts expecting more from Rozemyne, creating some funny moments between them. We’ll probably also see Rozemyne continue to develop as a person and grow into the role of an archduke’s daughter, alongside Ferdinand’s mentorship. Hopefully, the townspeople won’t make things too difficult for her in the process.
Season 4, Episode 7 is Adapting Part 3, Volume 2 of the Light NOvel
Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of Ascendance of a Bookworm, and the upcoming season will finally adapt the third part of the light novel series. While the anime seems to be progressing through the story at a good clip, those familiar with the books might feel it’s moving a bit slowly given how much detail is packed into each volume. The next episode, titled “Hasse’s Monastery,” suggests that Season 4, Episode 7 will cover a significant portion of Volume 2 from Part 3.
I just finished the latest volume, and wow, Rozemyne really has a showdown with the mayor! I don’t want to give too much away, but she’s facing some seriously difficult choices in Episode 43. Be warned, though – this volume gets pretty dark, and some of the themes might be a little unsettling. However, no matter what happens next in Season 4, as a huge fan, I really hope we get a full adaptation of the light novels. I’d be devastated if Ascendance of a Bookworm ended up as another unfinished isekai!
