Red Bricks are a long-standing tradition in LEGO games, and they appear as collectibles in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight too. However, in this game, they’re just for fun and don’t affect gameplay – you won’t get extra studs or special abilities!

You can buy Batmite Shop Red Bricks from the main podium, where they’ll appear randomly alongside the character suits. Keep in mind that some bricks won’t become available until you advance further in the game’s story.
How to Use Red Bricks in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
Red Bricks aren’t shortcuts or cheats like they were in past LEGO games. Now, they’re used to personalize how your characters and vehicles look, letting you change colors and add cool visual effects.
To use a Red Brick, open the map by pressing Options. Then, go to the Characters menu by pressing R1 (PlayStation) or RB (Xbox). From there, choose ‘Suits’ by pressing Square (PlayStation) or X (Xbox), or ‘Vehicles’ by pressing Triangle (PlayStation) or Y (Xbox). Finally, press Square or X again to see your collected Red Bricks.
Infiltration Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Ninja)
Once you’ve successfully gotten out of the enemy-filled temple, you’ll construct a ballista to make a tightrope. This allows you to walk along the ledge on the right side of the building—avoiding going inside—and find a hidden room containing two statues.
To solve the puzzle, put a book on each of the two pressure plates. Then, have Bruce and Talia stand on the remaining plates, and the Red Brick will appear.
New Beginnings Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Nautical)
As you get closer to finishing the mission, you’ll need to find a way to reach Flass. Instead of building a battering ram, use your grapple to pull yourself onto the building on the left with the yellow and black signs. From the roof, you can drop down into the room and collect the Red Brick.
Carmine Falcone Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Filthy Rich)
Okay, so you follow the lights until you get to this big room where you’ll find Flass and Catwoman, Selina Kyle. After you chat with Flass, look across from the exit – you’ll see a vault with a wheel on it. This is important: you need to turn that wheel until it shows 5-9-6, and the safe will pop open, revealing the Red Brick!
The Red Hood Gang Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Toxic Waste)
Keep progressing through the mission until you come to a room with a long hallway. This hallway has a glass floor, and you’ll see enemies below. Walk through the hallway and turn right to locate a vent you can crawl into.
You’ll find a hole filled with dangerous goo that Jim Gordon’s Foam Sprayer can seal. Do this again on the right side, then use the Batclaw to grapple onto the wall above. Lastly, use the Foam Sprayer one more time to create a path and collect the Red Brick.
Mimes Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Feline)
During this part of the mission, you’ll find yourself blocked in a store area and the only way to proceed is by building something. If you turn to your right, you’ll see the Gadgets Store. Go inside and search the floor for a wire – you’ll need to plug it into the monitor.
Okay, so here’s the deal: you have to follow the red arrows and make the little green cat jump along them. The goal is to get the cat to the bottom right of the screen where a red square is waiting. Just watch out for the orange dog – you don’t want to run into him! Once the cat grabs that square, the screen goes BOOM, and a Red Brick pops out! It’s a pretty cool sequence.
The Penguin Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Gothic)
Okay, so after you get past those exploding penguins – seriously, who designs that?! – you’ll come to a warehouse. There’s a painting of the Penguin in there, and if you look to the right of it, you’ll see some crates and stuff you can smash. Do it! It’ll uncover a vent you can climb into.
Once you’re in the new room, use Catwoman to break the glass on the right side and get the red umbrella. Then, put the umbrella on the podium and use Catwoman’s Whip to turn it towards the red brick inside the cage. Step onto the pressure plate to blow up the cage.
Flugelheim Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Artist)
After you get your ticket and go through the doors using the ticket scanner, you’ll see the Joker statue you’re looking for. But then the shutters will close. To proceed, use Catwoman’s ‘Call Kitty’ ability to take control of a cat and guide it through the vent on the right.
You’re now in the security room. You can jump from the desk to the shelf, then follow the shelf all the way to the ceiling. There’s a vent up there – go through it, and you’ll be able to grab the Red Brick from the scaffolding.
Joker Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Showbiz)
Walk along the right side of the street until you see a building with a flowerbed full of yellow flowers. Then, switch to Catwoman and use your grapple to climb up to the building. Once you’re up there, you can break the window and go inside.
Now, use the Call Kitty gadget to direct the cat and make it jump from the coffee table to the TV. Switch to Batman and push the TV to the left. Then, control the cat again and send it through the vent to collect the Red Brick on the shelf.
Two-Face Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Clown)
Once the first bomb explodes, return to the ground floor where you’ll face a group of enemies. After defeating them, search the back of the room for a machine that tests your strength.
As Robin, step on the pressure plate to make three targets appear. You can use Robin’s Birdarang to quickly see all the targets, and once you hit them all, you’ll get the Red Brick.
Kite Man Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Power Plant)
Once you’ve found the killer plant, go down the hallway and look for a door Robin can open with his staff. Behind this door is a hidden room with the Red Brick inside. In the room, use the Cable Launcher to connect the battery to the empty power generator on the right.
This will turn on the air vent, creating an updraft that Batman can use to glide upwards and reach the Red Brick.
Poison Ivy Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Flower Power)
Later in the mission, you’ll come across some locked doors. There’s a greenhouse to the left of them that you can go inside.
To get the Red Brick from inside the glass case, put the red flower on the left side and the green flower on the right. This will break the glass, allowing you to collect it.
Firefly Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Fire Breather)
You’ll come to a room with a Ticket Office and a locked door, but don’t worry about those for now. Instead, turn right to enter the planetarium. Inside, you’ll see planets painted on the walls and a large central planet with four lights shining on it.
Okay, so I figured out this puzzle! You gotta spin all those handwheels in the middle of the room until they point to Mars – the red planet. Once they’re all set, the planet in the center splits open, and you can grab the Red Brick hiding inside. Easy peasy!
Mr. Freeze Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Ice Age)
Once you’ve finished the boss battle, you’ll switch to playing as Nightwing and Batgirl. Before building the device, turn around and check the walls. Batgirl can use her Hackarang to hit a red panel you’ll find there.
This will show you three targets that Nightwing can hit with a single Electrorang. Once you successfully hit all three, the Red Brick will drop from the left side.
The League of Shadows Returns Red Brick Location & Puzzle (Bats)
Okay, so once I got out of the sewers, I checked to my left and found this cool spot where Nightwing could actually use his staff – pretty neat! Then, I switched over to Batgirl and managed to hack this garbage truck, which made it start moving to the right. It was a key step to getting past that obstacle!
Go past the gate, then move to your right and hide behind the garbage truck. This will let you collect the Red Brick without being seen by the Tumblers.
All Bat-Mite Shop Red Bricks
You’ll unlock Bat-Mite’s Shop in the Batcave at the beginning of Chapter 2. You can visit the shop whenever you like – it’s located in the Batcave, and smaller shops also appear in different parts of Gotham City on the map. When you enter, you can immediately buy items from the front counter.
The front display features a changing assortment of Red Bricks and character outfits, so be sure to collect plenty of Studs to buy everything you want. To unlock all the Red Bricks from Bat-Mite, you’ll need to finish the main story first.
