In The Past Never Dies, the market section tasks you with earning $100,000 for an auction. The ‘Show Me the Money’ challenge builds on this, asking you to increase that amount to $140,000 – and it’s quite easy to do with the following steps.
Show Me the Money Challenge Overview
To succeed in Show Me the Money, you need to reach a total of $140,000 in earnings. But be aware that earning $100,000 will prevent you from pursuing other ways to make money. Follow the steps below to ensure you hit the target and don’t miss out.

How to Get 140k in the Market for the Show Me the Money Challenge in 007 First Light
Complete the Fight Pit for $60,000
First, go forward and to the right to reach the Fight Pit. Once there, listen in on the conversation between the Ring Master and the Trainer. Afterward, talk to the Ring Master, and then speak with the Trainer to register for the Fight Pit.
You’ll face three opponents, but it should be pretty straightforward if you can parry attacks and slam enemies into walls. Defeating all three will earn you $60,000, and that’s how you start the challenge!
Complete the Cup Game for $30,000
Once you leave the Fight Pit, turn left and you’ll find Aadan running a shell game. You can win $30,000 playing, but it costs $3,500 to join. Once the game begins, simply use your Q-Lens (by holding L1/LB) to track the jewel under the cups, and then pick the correct cup. Finally, take the jewel to the pawn shop.
This next part is a quick way to earn some money back after investing in Aadan’s game. Use your Q-Lens while exploring the market to find people you can pickpocket. Distract them – the Phone Dart works well – to steal their money. Once you’ve recovered at least $1,000 (ideally a total of $90,000 or more), you can move on to the final step.
Complete the Scorpius Deal for $52,000
Once you’ve earned at least $90,000, go to the back left side of the market where you’ll find two guards. If you get close to the truck, you can overhear their conversation, which will cause one of them to walk away. To make the other guard leave, turn on the generator to the right, then go inside the room he was watching.
Next, you need to sneak into the compound and avoid the guards to find a burner phone located on the top floor of the building on the right. After that, go to the front left side of the market to find a shipping yard and interact with container number 76. This will start a fight called “License to Kill”, but completing it will earn you $52,000.
If you complete the missions in the suggested order, you’ll end up with $140,000 and immediately gain access to the “Show Me the Money” Challenge.
