Mina the Hollower can be quite challenging, particularly for new players. Enemies hit hard, and you can lose all your progress with just a few hits, sending you back to the last save point.
To succeed in Mina the Hollower, you’ll need to carefully manage your health and Plasma Vials – think of these as your health kits. Luckily, you can improve both, giving you a better chance to survive against the game’s tough enemies.
Struggling with health and running out of energy in Mina the Hollower? This guide will show you how to become more resilient and carry more Plasma Vials.
How to Increase Maximum Health

Increasing your health lets you take more damage and stay alive longer in Mina the Hollower. You can boost your maximum health in a couple of ways: the simplest is to buy Health Roses from the Emporium shop in town. Alternatively, you can earn them by defeating the game’s bosses.
Buying Health Roses at the Emporium is the fastest way to increase your maximum health in Mina the Hollower. Just be aware that each Health Rose you buy costs more Bones than the last. They start at 500 Bones, then 1,000, then 1,500, and so on.
Each time you beat a boss guarding a generator, they’ll drop a Health Rose. Picking it up permanently increases your character’s maximum health, which is a great way to get stronger as you play and defeat more bosses.
How to Increase the Number of Plasma Vials
Just like with Health Roses, you can go to the Emporium to expand how many Plasma Vials you can carry. They sell Vial Pouches there, and they cost a significant amount of bones.
Buying upgrades for your Vial Pouch gets more expensive each time, requiring more Bones. Because of this, it’s better to save your Bones instead of immediately using them to boost your characters’ Attack, Defense, or Sidearms. Getting more Plasma Vials is really helpful in battles, so I suggest making them a priority purchase at the Emporium.
As you explore the world of Mina the Hollower, you can also find upgrades for your Vial Pouch. These are quite rare and hidden in treasure chests located in secret areas, so be sure to thoroughly search each area before you move on.
Okay, so I’ve learned that if I’m exploring and see something that looks off with a wall – like a weird crack or a different color patch – it’s probably breakable! Seriously, keep an eye out for those spots, because they often hide secret areas. And those areas? They could have a Plasma Vial, which is super useful for tougher fights later on. I’m definitely going to be checking every wall now!
Emporium Location
This guide highlights the Emporium, which is a key location in the game. Many consider it the best shop, so knowing its location is crucial.

You’ll find The Emporium in Ossex, the game’s main city. It’s located on the eastern side, right beside the key shop. Look for the shop with the large Rose on top – you can’t miss it!
You can access the Emporium as soon as you finish the game’s introduction and unlock the city. This is great because you don’t need to go anywhere else to open it – you can start buying items right away!
