Summary
- A Pokemon fan designed a Ghost-type Eevee evolution named Mischeveon with unique mirage powers.
- Fans praised the concept but debated on its typing and possible origins.
- Concerns arise that fan designs may prevent official Eeveelutions, as seen with a previously scrapped idea.
A devoted fan of Pokémon has unveiled their creative vision and artwork of what a Ghost-type evolution for Eevee might resemble. This captivating fan art concept is inspired by legendary genie designs, thereby endowing this potential Eeveelution with some intriguing abilities and traits.
Instead of Ditto being recognized as the Pokemon most renowned for its shape-shifting abilities, Eevee has been captivating fans with its diverse range of transformation possibilities throughout various generations. Regrettably, in recent times, Eevee hasn’t undergone any new evolutions, causing fans to speculate and create their own ideas in the interim. It remains uncertain whether or not Pokemon will reintroduce a fresh evolution for Eevee with each new set of games, but these fan designs help keep players intrigued by this extraordinary creature.
67chrome, a passionate Pokemon enthusiast, recently unveiled their unique idea for a new Eeveelution, which they’ve named Mischeveon. Unlike some previous proposals that required Eevee to undergo distressing situations to evolve into a Ghost-type, Mischeveon would evolve in a more benevolent manner. This is achieved by Eevee being healed three times using Wish.
Mischeveon is endowed with mirage abilities, allowing it to briefly transform its opponents into any other Pokemon species. Interestingly, there’s a one-third chance the opponent will be transformed into a base form of another Pokemon, but there’s also a one-eighth chance that the opponent could be changed into a Legendary or Mythical Pokemon – a twist that could prove challenging in battles.
Eevee Fans Share Thoughts on Mischeveon
A multitude of Pokemon enthusiasts have acknowledged the OP with admiration, offering constructive feedback as well. Some believe Mischeveon’s backstory could be more fitting for a Fairy-type evolution of Eevee, while others propose it could be a Flying-type similar to the other djinn-inspired Pokemon in the game, such as Tornadus. Meanwhile, another fan has commended both Mischeveon and Champeon – a Fighting-type Eeveelution created by the artist and previously shared with the community.
Although fans usually embrace fanart depictions of evolutions and new Pokemon, some players express apprehension upon seeing intriguing fan-created Eeveelutions. Previously, one Eeveelution was discarded because it resembled a fan’s design too closely, leading to concerns that an overabundance of such art may discourage the introduction of a new Eeveelution in future games. Some speculate that a fresh Eeveelution might debut alongside a novel Pokemon type, as this would decrease the chances of it being unintentionally anticipated by a fan’s creativity. Only time will reveal whether Eevee will return with a new evolutionary form.
