The eighth episode of Bosch: Legacy opens with the drug cartel run by Humberto Zorrillo (Manuel Ariza) gathering their late migrant workers for a confrontation. As retribution, they single out one worker and escort him into an abandoned building while blindfolded. Inside this desolate warehouse, they brutally attack his teeth using a crowbar.

In another location, Vasquez confesses to Maddie that she should have immediately reported Albert when she harbored suspicions, and subsequently returns to her job in order to take action. Maddie comforts her by affirming that she is doing what’s right. Meanwhile, the unidentified DNA discovered on the bullets gets reported to Diego Para’s defense attorney, which is beneficial for his client. However, Chandler reminds him that he has also confessed to multiple armed robberies, and advises Para to collaborate with the District Attorney’s office in an effort to locate the true culprit.

Bosch and Miles Gaston Villanueva (Perry Lopez) are probing United Chemical, a firm believed to be connected to the drugs in Robertson’s case. Their office is situated near a budget hotel where Juando’s hotel resides. They question Lancaster’s Sheriff’s Deputy Jack Garrity (Chris Bauer), seeking information about the Juando case and its ties to United Chemical. Garrity, aware of their interest, informs the cartel member they are investigating, but for now, no evidence has been found. Before he departs, Garrity covertly plants a tracker on Zorrillo’s car. Later, he alerts RHD captain Rick Seals about Lopez’s involvement in the case with Bosch. Meanwhile, Bosch recruits Ken Gurbizs for the Gallagher murder case and hands him documents concerning a former spy who could be related to it. He proposes a clandestine operation to Gurbizs.

How Does Maddie And Vasquez’s Follow-Home Robbery Investigation End In Bosch: Legacy’s Final Season?

The investigation into the recent home robbery is reaching a crucial juncture, as Maddie and Vasquez hope to lure Albert towards a clue about the hidden loot at Vasquez’s grandfather’s residence. However, Albert fails to appear, and they find out that the stash has been relocated elsewhere. The duo, along with the rest of the CRU, then locate Nestor, Albert, and Victoria at a rendezvous with a business associate. In the ensuing encounter, Nestor attempts to escape but is fatally shot by the police, while Vasquez apprehends Albert. Meanwhile, Lopez is called to the chief’s office following his outing with Bosch and is issued a reprimand for being involved in the case when he should not be.

Chandler contacts Bosch to reveal that the actual gunman who targeted Robertson has a tattoo on the underside of one arm, and they believe they’ve identified the suspect. Meanwhile, Bosch uncovers evidence suggesting that Juando was involved in the illicit drug trade known as The Black Ice, which may have led to his disappearance and eventual death. As the episode concludes, Bosch and Mo Bassi pay a visit to the room where Juando was last alive. Upon inspection, Bosch discovers hidden stashes of The Black Ice drugs in a mattress, prompting him to contact Garrity. This leads to Garrillo’s arrival at the location, with Bosch on high alert as he waits for Garrillo’s approach. However, when Garrillo sees the door slightly open, he chooses not to enter the room.
