A fresh update for the PlayStation Plus subscription plan has arrived, offering six fresh titles for players to enjoy across both the Extra and Premium categories. The month of April 2025 has proven unusually eventful for PlayStation Plus users, as they not only received their usual monthly free games at the beginning of the month, but were also granted early access to two PS Plus Extra games.
Typically, updates for PS Plus Extra and Premium occur on the same day, but that wasn’t the case in April 2025. Instead, subscribers received the games “Blue Prince” and “EA Sports PGA Tour” on April 10, which was five days before the regular PS Plus update for that month. The game “Blue Prince” is a highly-rated puzzle game with roguelike elements and is currently one of the top new game releases this year. On the other hand, “EA Sports PGA Tour” is a high-budget golf game. Recently, the latest PS Plus update has added six more games to the collection, with four accessible through PS Plus Extra and two available only on the Premium tier.
The recent upgrade for PS Plus Extra and Premium now includes “Battlefield 1”, “Hogwarts Legacy”, “Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2”, and “PlateUp” in the Extra tier. On the other hand, “Alone in the Dark 2” and “War of the Monsters” are exclusive to the Premium tier. PS Plus Extra members have access only to games in the Extra tier, not those in the Premium-only category. However, Premium subscribers can enjoy all the games added to Extra as well as everything else that the service offers, making it the top-tier option for PS Plus.
