Fans of Star Wars Outlaws can look forward to acquiring some stylish free DLC inspired by the hit TV show, Skeleton Crew. The highly-anticipated DLC for Star Wars Outlaws is scheduled to drop on May 15, coinciding with the release of the A Pirate’s Fortune story expansion for all players.
In August 2024, the debut of “Star Wars Outlaws” didn’t achieve the success that Ubisoft had anticipated or required. While the game received a decent rating from critics, with an average score of 75 on OpenCritic, this wasn’t enough to counteract the disappointing sales figures for “Star Wars Outlaws,” which have persisted into the current year. Despite these lackluster sales, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have consistently rolled out updates for the game to enhance player experience, as well as releasing additional DLC to expand the content within the “Star Wars” franchise.
In an update on platform X, the team behind “Star Wars Outlaws” announced that a fresh collection of cosmetic items inspired by the popular TV series “Skeleton Crew” will soon be available in the game at no cost. The set seems to feature decorative tassels for Kay’s speeder, a new accessory for Nix, the lovable sidekick of “Star Wars Outlaws”, and a set of thermal detonators to attach onto the speeder itself. While there appears to be no new cosmetics for protagonist Kay Vess included in this free update, it’s challenging to find fault with something that doesn’t cost anything.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew-Inspired Cosmetics are Coming to Outlaws on May 15
Gamers won’t have to wait much longer to acquire this set, as it’s scheduled for release on May 15, coinciding with the launch of the DLC for Star Wars Outlaws, titled A Pirate’s Fortune. Notably, this DLC will be paid, but players will receive this pack free of charge. To mark the occasion of the DLC’s release, Star Wars Outlaws is offering a complimentary demo for fans to test out, providing them with three hours of gameplay on Tatooine.
There’s lots of exciting news for Star Wars enthusiasts in the gaming world coming up soon. At the recent Star Wars Celebration event, Star Wars: EA DICE (Zero Companty) unveiled its first trailer and gameplay footage, offering a sneak peek into what Bit Reactor and Respawn have been developing for their tactical turn-based game. Additionally, Star Wars: Outlaws is scheduled to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4, 2025.
