A Retrograde Poem for You Quest Guide in Neverness to Everness

If you want it to snow in Neverness to Everness, you’ll need to finish the side quest “A Retrograde Poem For You.” Start the quest by finding and talking to Daisy in the Miguel District. After completing all the steps in the quest, snowfall will be enabled in the city during specific times and events.

If Daisy isn’t at the quest location when you get there, beat up the enemies nearby and then restart your game. When the game loads again, she should be there, allowing you to start the Neverness to Everness quest. See below for detailed instructions.

Where to Start A Retrograde Poem For You

The “Retrograde Poem For You” quest starts in the Miguel District. Find Daisy and chat with her about her ice cream shop. She’ll tell you about a peculiar Snowman Anomaly called Puff, and that’s how the story begins – it’s all connected to unlocking snow!

This isn’t a quick task. It’s a multi-step quest where you’ll need to take pictures, go to different stores, and assist Puff in finding short-term jobs throughout the city.

It’s smart to save up some extra Fons before you begin this quest. You’ll need 30,000 Fons to buy the Truck Key Fob, which is required to move forward.

Here are all the objectives in the A Retrograde Poem For You quest:

  • Co… Collect Cold Air?
  • Emergency Incident
  • The Seafood Shop
  • On Some Deliveries
  • A Cool Exhibit
  • Hethereau Skytower
  • Where is Puff?

Co… Collect Cold Air?

Okay, so this part of the game introduces Puff the Snowman! After chatting with Daisy, my mission is to find him. When I finally tracked him down, he thought I was just another person wanting ice cream – but he was all out! Bummer.

This section primarily focuses on establishing Puff’s character and preparing players for the upcoming quests. The clear quest markers ensure this part is simple to finish.

Emergency Incident

Once you’ve met Puff, follow him to Nekomaru Ramen. Once inside, talk to Koharu about helping Puff find a job. This will unlock one of the first photo opportunities for the quest.

Please take a photo of Puff promoting Nekomaru Ramen. Center Puff in the picture before taking the shot – the game might not recognize it if Puff isn’t in the middle.

Okay, so I’ve learned the hard way that the photo quests can be a little finicky! If you take a picture for a quest and it doesn’t seem to register, don’t worry! Just try moving your camera just a bit – a slightly different angle usually does the trick. I’ve had to retake a few photos multiple times just to get it right!

The Seafood Shop

After that, go to 7 Oceans Seafood and talk to Consuelo. He’s offering Puff a short-term job, but you’ll need to buy the Truck Key Fob for 30,000 Fons first.

Once you’ve purchased the item, go back to Consuelo to continue the quest. Next, you’ll go to the refrigerated truck and be asked to take another photo – this time of Puff standing on top of it.

You can earn more Fons by discovering and opening hidden safes throughout NTE. Some of these secret safes have large rewards and are quick to access. If you prefer easier ways to earn Fons while exploring, City Deliveries and Spinoff Quests are also good options.

On Some Deliveries

After you unlock the refrigerated truck, you’ll begin delivering items throughout the city. Road arrows will show you the way to each stop, making it easy to navigate even if you don’t know the area well.

First, head to Clicky to make your delivery. Then, go to Panda Hotpot, and finally to Budoriya. Once you’ve completed all three deliveries, return to 7 Oceans Seafood and talk to Consuelo to continue the quest.

A Cool Exhibit

Your next task is at the Gold Apple Collection Hall. While inside the museum, be sure to check out the large coin and the chef’s knife exhibits.

You’ll eventually need to take a photo of Puff next to an ice sculpture. To finish this task, get a clear picture where both Puff and the sculpture are completely visible.

Hethereau Skytower

After leaving the museum, travel to Hethereau Skytower and take the elevator to the rooftop area.

When you get there, talk to Puff. There’s a chance to take a photo of him – you’ll need to get a shot of Puff standing on the roof with the city in the background.

Where is Puff?

To finish, you need to wait until 10:00 AM on the next day in the game. After that, it will finally start snowing in the city.

You can advance the in-game clock to get to 10 AM quickly.

This snowfall is the first one that’s part of the game’s story, and it shows that the weather system is working as intended.

Go to the area around Caltrop Lake Station and see if anyone knows about Puff. Then, look at Mint’s messages and keep searching around Caltrop Lake.

Eventually, you’ll discover clues left by Puff. To fully complete the quest, check the grassy area by the lake. After you finish this last step, the game will unlock snowy weather.

All Rewards for A Retrograde Poem For You

Finishing this quest will give you 300 Hunter experience points, 30 Annulith, 29,000 Fons, 6 Senior Hunter Guides, 6 Colorless Dye, and 15,000 Beetle Coins.

But the real treat is the weather itself – the snowfall transforms the city, making even familiar places feel brand new.
