All Flower Locations in Chapter 1 of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book

In Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, you can find lots of different creatures, hidden discoveries, and collectible flowers. The game encourages you to experiment with different combinations of creatures, abilities, and items. If you want to find everything – especially all the flowers on each level – you’ll need to try out lots of different approaches.

Unlike many games, Yoshi and the Mysterious Book labels each level with the name of the creature you’re helping. You can even customize the creatures’ names, meaning they might be different for each player. This guide will stick to the original names provided by the game’s creator, Mr. E. Finding all the Flowers in each level can be challenging and may require some trial and error.

Crazee Dayzee (Flowers) Level

You’ll find 3 Flowers to collect in the first stage. They’re easy to get at first, but collecting them becomes more challenging as you progress.

Under the bridge Go past the bridge until you can drop, then turn left to go back underneath the ground.
In a cave Keep going right until you see the “!” Block. Go underneath to reach the cave.
In the air near the big tree After growing the big tree with the “!” block, jump on the ledge closest to the giant Flower head.

Bunchabee (Bees) Level

There are five Flowers on the Bunchabee stage. If you’re fast, you can get at least three of them early on by throwing eggs at them before the Bunchabees grab them. If you miss, you’ll have to search each area of the stage to find them.

Ledge near the beginning Flowers
  • After the Bunchabees take the Flowers, go right and throw an egg at the cloud to create platforms.
  • Jump on the platforms to the left to find the Bunchabee carrying a Flower.
Near the honey pool
  • Jump up to the right after creating the platforms.
  • Follow the path until you reach the honey pool.
Near hanging vines Go up after creating the platforms until you see hanging vines. The Bunchabee flies around the vines with the Flower.
Near multiple hanging beehives
  • Climb the vines and jump on the platform above them.
  • Go left at the first opportunity until you run into the beehives.
In a cave
  • After climbing the vines and jumping on the platform, go right instead of left.
  • Follow the path until you see a cave that you must duck to enter.
  • Keep going until you see another group of beehives with a Bunchabee carrying a Flower.

Scatterpuff (Fluff Balls) Level

On the Scatterpuff stage, you can find 3 hidden Flowers. To reveal them, you need to spread Scatterpuff throughout the level. A good way to do this is to attach Scatterpuff to a Crazee Dayzee and then run around with it.

High above on a branch
  • Jump on the platform going up and to the left.
  • Spread Scatterpuff on the ground and on the tree to create bouncy yellow puff balls.
  • Jump on them to reach the very top with the Flower.
Underground in a cave
  • Spread Scatterpuff near the water below where you start.
  • Keep spreading them until all the water is absorbed, then go left into the cave.
Inside the stone statue
  • Go all the way to the right of the stage until you see a stone statue that looks like a creature.
  • Spread Scattpuff on it until it has multiple cracks, then Ground Pound it to get the Flower.

Croakaoke (Song Birds) Level

Four Flowers are positioned on the Croakaoke stage. To play the right notes, you’ll need to jump on them in a particular sequence.

Above the final Croakaoke of the scale
  • Go past the three Croakaoke that make “Do~Re~Mi.”
  • Follow the next group of Croakoake and jump on them in order to make the full scale, “Do~Re~Mi~Fa~So~La~Ti~Do.”
  • The Flower is in the air above the last one.
After the waltz
  • Keep going past the scale, and you run into another group of Croakaoke that plays a “Whimsical Waltz” song.
  • Jump on them in order to make the Flower appear.
High above near vines
  • Right above the second Flower are musical notes. Throw an egg to knock one down, then Tail Flick to carry it.
  • Take the note and feed it to the big Green Croakoake directly to the left under an opening in the trees above. This lets you jump high enough to reach the area above.
  • Jump on the Croakaoke in order to play “Mary Had a Little Lamb,” and the Flower will appear.
Platform after underground song
  • Grab a Spicy Pepper from the area high above, near the Third Flower’s location.
  • Feed the pepper to the big Croakaoke above the lined tunnel, near the second Flower. This will make it move and jump around out of the way.
  • Go into the tunnel to reach the cave below.
  • Jump on the Croakoake in order to play “London Bridge is Falling Down”. You will need to go in a circle to play the first row of Croakaoke, the row above them, then the first row again before finishing the song on the top-left platform.
  • If the song is played correctly, the Flower appears on the platform above ground.

Glubbit (Bubble Frogs) Level

This stage features 5 Flowers. You’ll need to skillfully ride bubbles and combine them in creative ways using Glubbit bubbles to reach them.

Platform near the giant stone pillar
  • Go until you see the first set of 3 Glubbits beneath some lily pad platforms in the air.
  • Carry one, then toss it vertically into the air to form bubbles.
  • Jump in the bubble to ride it to the platform above.
  • Repeat this until you reach the platform with the flower.
Above the leaf platforms
  • Go to the right of the pillar until you reach a bunch of platforms with Glubbits and Crazee Dayzees nearby.
  • Get an egg and use Glubbit to float up until you see a “?” cloud.
  • Throw an egg to hit the cloud to make the Flower appear.
In an underground cave
  • There are leaves beneath the platforms leading to the second Flower.
  • Go right and get Glubbit muddy. This will cause its bubbles to go down instead of up.
  • Carry Glubbit over the leaves on the bottom floor. The mud bubbles will float down to destroy the leaves and open the underground.
  • The Flower is in the cave below.
In the sky above Bowser Jr. and Kamek
  • Go to the final area where you must free Bowser Jr. and Kamek from a bubble.
  • Use Glubbit to form bubbles until you reach a higher platform with Bunchabees and Spicy Peppers.
  • Keep going up to find the Flower.
Above the giant stone pillar
  • You can technically get this one second. Go to the platform with the first Flower, then throw a Glubbit vertically.
  • Jump in a bubble and ride it until it is about to pop, then jump into another one.
  • Repeat until you reach the top of the pillar to get the Flower.
