Battlefield 6 Season 3 is packed with references to older games in the series, going beyond just updated maps and weapons. The Railway to Golmud map includes several hidden easter eggs – some brand new, and others that will bring back memories for longtime Battlefield fans. This guide will show you all the Railway to Golmud easter eggs discovered by the Battlefield community so far.
Battlefield 6 Dinosaur Easter Egg
A tiny dinosaur figure is perched on top of the radio tower on the D flag. To get a close look, you’ll need a helicopter in Battlefield 6. If you don’t have one, use a scope with high zoom and find a good vantage point overlooking the radio tower. You’ll find the dinosaur near the edge, looking out over the railway.
Small plastic T-Rex figures have become a fun Easter egg hidden in the Battlefield games. They first appeared in Battlefield 3 and even show up in the ‘Always Faithful’ mission of Battlefield 6. Interestingly, you can also find dinosaur skeletons in certain Battlefield 6 maps, like New Sobek City and Liberation Peak.
Peek-a-Boo Viral Clip Easter Egg in BF6
Near the E flag, in the poppy field, you’ll find a wrecked tank – it’s a nod to a popular online clip created by ponylionHD. This clip shows players tricking an enemy pilot into flying right into the path of a tank that was launched into the air with explosives. It’s become one of the most well-known moments in Battlefield history.
In the Railway to Golmud level, you’ll find a wrecked tank in a field of poppies – this is where ponylionHD made that incredible shot against the enemy jet. If you look closely at the tank, you’ll also see a glowing dog tag on its side.
Battlefield 6 Railway to Golmud Yeti Easter Egg
Okay, so I found something kinda cool in Railway to Golmud. If you’ve got a sniper rifle or a rocket launcher, head outside the playable area and aim at one of the mountain ridges. There’s a specific spot – if you hit it, the mountain explodes and you’ll hear this crazy howling sound. Everyone’s pretty sure it’s supposed to be a yeti! It’s a neat little Easter egg, definitely worth checking out.
This is a nod to a similar hidden feature in the original Battlefield 4 version of Railway to Golmud (then known as Golmud Railway). The original involved shooting a distant, blinking light on a mountain, but ultimately does the same thing.
Miniature Inflatable Ducky
In the ruined building north-northeast of the E flag, you can find a bathtub containing a tiny rubber duck. It’s a miniature version of the ducks seen floating in pools on the Eastwood map (which itself has hidden secrets in Battlefield 6). If you examine the duck closely, you’ll notice it’s sized for a pool, not a bathtub. It’s unclear if this is a deliberate connection to Eastwood or simply a reused game element, but it’s a neat detail either way.
