All Stats & Attributes in Saros

In Saros, your character’s stats (called Attributes) are crucial for success in each playthrough. You can improve these stats by unlocking upgrades in the Armor Matrix or by discovering Artifacts. Artifacts not only boost your stats, but also come with both helpful and harmful passive effects. If you’re unsure about what any of the stats do, or how Attribute Volatility works, check out the Saros guide below for a detailed explanation.

All Stats & Attributes in Saros

Resilience

Your ability to withstand damage, called Resilience, is directly linked to your Armor Integrity. The higher your Resilience, the more health you’ll have, letting you survive more attacks. Focusing on increasing Resilience, particularly at the beginning of the game, is crucial for easily overcoming entire areas.

Defeated enemies sometimes leave behind stat-boosting shards. Don’t forget to collect them before moving on to the next area!

Command

Your Command stat is directly linked to your overall Power. Increasing Command boosts your Power, letting you use more powerful abilities and maintain your protective shield for a longer time. Whether you should focus on Command more than Drive or Resilience depends on how far you are in the game. Later in the game, when you have plenty of health, boosting Command becomes especially valuable for maximizing damage output with your abilities.

Drive

Finally, Drive is a key attribute. Increasing your Drive lowers the amount of Lucenite needed to improve your Proficiency. Because better Main and Power weapons – those with higher Proficiency – have stronger stats and extra abilities, it’s smart to prioritize upgrading Drive when you’re first exploring the game’s biomes.

What Is Attribute Volatility in Saros?

As you collect similar items, one stat will eventually become very high, nearing its maximum value. Once this happens, finding more of those items has a chance to cause ‘Attribute Volatility’. If triggered, you can continue collecting items with that stat, but you’ll receive a lasting negative effect for the rest of your game.

When Volatility occurs, Resilience, Command, and Drive transform into Arrogance, Ignorance, and Negligence. Here’s how these negative traits impact things:

  • Arrogance: Hostiles’ health is not visible.
  • Ignorance: Corruption Effects are not visible.
  • Negligence: All Lucenite is lost on death.

After fully upgrading your Armor Matrix, each new artifact you discover on subsequent runs has a chance to cause Volatility, thanks to your increased stats.
