Over the past ten years, Attack on Titan has become one of the most popular anime series ever created. It’s now widely known, both as an anime and a manga, and its characters are recognizable to people who watch anime and those who don’t.
Since the conclusion of the Attack on Titan manga and anime, fans have been hoping for additional content. The series has had a few small collaborations over time, with the latest being a partnership with a Japanese salon. This collaboration featured stunning new artwork created by the character designer from Season 4. Fans were thrilled to see fresh illustrations of beloved characters like Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi, presented in a unique style that further highlights their appeal.

The anime series Attack on Titan is a huge hit in Japan, so collaborations featuring its characters are always a big draw. Recently, the popular Japanese salon Hot Pepper Beauty partnered with Attack on Titan to create new artwork. The illustrations feature stylish makeovers for beloved characters like Eren, Mikasa, Armin, and Levi, showing them both getting their hair done and sporting their finished looks. Each character has two illustrations – one of the process and one of the final result.

It’s particularly exciting to learn that the artist behind these new illustrations also designed the characters for Attack on Titan starting with Season 4. He significantly shaped the look of the anime, and his distinctive style is always a hit with fans, who eagerly anticipate any new artwork featuring these popular characters.
Attack on Titan Will Only Get Minor Collabs as New Anime Content Is Unlikely
No New AoT Projects In The Work
The manga series Attack on Titan was incredibly popular and finished its run in 2021. The anime adaptation concluded soon after, in 2023. Since then, the only major release has been a movie – essentially a recap of the final season. While Attack on Titan: The Last Attack was enjoyable for fans to see in theaters, it didn’t offer any new story content, only a few extra animated moments that were appreciated briefly.
Since the anime finished, many Attack on Titan fans have been disappointed with what’s followed, and it doesn’t look like things will change soon. Currently, the franchise is mostly focusing on small partnerships with other companies. Recently, this included a brief manga collaboration with a skincare brand and now a similar partnership with a Japanese salon, featuring new artwork by Tomohiro Kishi.
It’s not surprising that there’s a lull in new content, as the creator, Isayama, has indicated he doesn’t plan to create more manga. He’s mentioned giving everything he had to the Attack on Titan series. Currently, the only potential for new animation lies in adapting the prequel manga, Before the Fall, but the studio hasn’t given any indication that they’ll do so. It appears the Attack on Titan franchise is largely finished, with little on the horizon for fans. Hopefully, some new projects will be announced in the future, even if a full anime revival isn’t possible.
Attack on Titan can be streamed on Crunchyroll.
