William Butkevicius from Moon Studios spent his spare time creating a new Banjo-Kazooie-style game for PlayStation 4 and 5 owners. It’s important to note this isn’t an official Banjo-Kazooie title, and you’ll need to have a copy of the game Dreams to play it.
It’s surprising that we haven’t seen a new Banjo-Kazooie game in almost 20 years. The last one, Nuts & Bolts, came out in 2008, but a skilled developer may be working on a new release that fans will love.
A New Banjo-Kazooie Game On PlayStation, Sort Of

William Butkevicius designs levels for the game No Rest for the Wicked at Moon Studios. When he’s not working, he enjoys spending time creating things in the game ‘Dreams’.
Dreams, a game only available on PlayStation, is known for its incredibly advanced tools for creating content. It offers almost limitless freedom and control, allowing players to build their own levels and even entire games.
On December 3rd, Butkevicius announced on X (formerly Twitter) that “Banjo-Kazooie: Mumbomania” is now available on Dreams for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
Need to see it to believe it? There’s a trailer – just a minute and 43 seconds long – that showcases the game. And it really does seem like a classic Banjo-Kazooie adventure, looking fantastic in every way!
As a huge fan, I’m completely blown away by how Banjo looks and plays! Everything just feels right, from the way he moves to all the little gameplay details. And the music? Seriously, @thegamebrass absolutely nailed it – it’s perfect!

This game is exclusively for PlayStation players who already own the game Dreams. If you have Dreams, this is probably the closest you’ll get to experiencing a new Banjo-Kazooie adventure.

Here are some recent gaming headlines from IG: Russia has blocked access to the game Roblox, reportedly due to concerns about ‘extremist materials.’ Treyarch is considering skill-based matchmaking in the next Black Ops game (Black Ops 7) to boost player interaction. Finally, there’s discussion around a key feature in Metroid Prime 4 being locked behind a $30 Amiibo figure.
