In Neverness to Everness, you’ll unlock the Auction House by completing the main story quest “Deal? Deal!”. Once finished, you can permanently access the Auction House at The Kapé Grand Hotel in the New Herland District. From there, you can bid on rare materials, unique anomaly items, cosmetics, and valuable collectibles using Fons in NTE.
How to Unlock the Auction House in Neverness to Everness
You can access the Auction House after completing the story mission called “Deal? Deal!”. This mission introduces you to the Kapé building and the hidden world of luxury trading in the city. As part of the mission, you’ll visit the Kapé Grand Hotel for the first time. Once the story is finished, the Auction House becomes a regular activity in Neverness to Everness.
After you finish the quest, go back to the hotel and talk to Iris by the entrance to get into the auction.
Neverness to Everness Auction House Location
You can find the Auction House within The Kapé Grand Hotel, in the southwest part of New Herland. It’s connected to the Never-Ending Arachne area, meaning players who have defeated the boss there can easily teleport back.
When you get to the hotel, go into the lobby and ask for Iris. She’ll take you directly to the auction room, where the auctions are held. Once inside, you can talk to Iori to see what’s currently up for sale.
Once unlocked, the building is marked with a gavel icon on the map, so you can easily find it again later.
You can only access the auction by talking to specific characters first. Don’t bother looking for it to pop up on its own while you’re exploring the hotel.
How the Auction House in NTE Works
The Auction House lets you bid against computer-controlled buyers in real-time. Each item starts at a set price, and the price goes up as people make higher bids. To win, you need to be the highest bidder when the timer runs out.
Whenever someone places a new bid, the timer restarts at 20 seconds. If several computer-controlled characters (NPCs) keep increasing the price, the last 20 seconds can become a fast-paced competition.
After the auction finishes, the item is gone – whether you win it or not. You won’t get another chance to bid on the same item, so it’s a good idea to figure out how much you’re willing to spend before the bidding begins.
We’ve found that making a very high initial bid can discourage other bidders. This is effective for unique items that appear weekly, but it’s important to use this strategy carefully, as it can quickly deplete your Fons.
Auction House Weekly Reset
The items available at the Auction House change weekly. Each week features a new selection of up to seven items, and the previous week’s items are removed when the listings update.
The weekly reset occurs every Monday at 5:00 AM server time. If you’re hoping to purchase something, it’s best to buy it sooner rather than later, as more people tend to compete for items as the reset approaches.
NTE also allows you to manually update the available items if you’re not happy with what’s currently showing. This lets players try to find rare items again without having to wait a full week.
The items available in the Auction House change frequently, so it’s a good idea to check it often, even if you’re not currently trying to buy anything.
Best Items to Buy From the Auction House
As a fan, I can tell you one of the best things you can buy early in the game is the Gluttonous Eye, along with some Covetous Coins. Seriously, get these! They let you start the Mammon anomaly event, which unlocks the Realm of Greed – a weekly zone that’s totally worth checking out.
As a player, I’ve noticed these items are really popular because you can earn back a ton of Fons right after beating Mammon. It basically means you can get your money back super fast, which is awesome!
Investing in upgrade materials is a smart move. As you progress, it becomes harder to find resources to improve your character, so purchasing them at auction can significantly speed things up and save you a lot of time.
Each week, the game features collectible decorations and useful items. While not required to advance, some cosmetic items can become hard to find later on because the available items change regularly.
Item prices change based on how players bid, but some items generally fall within certain price ranges. Gluttonous Eyes typically start around 3,000 Fons. Covetous Coin bundles usually cost between 1,500 and 4,500 Fons, depending on how many you buy. Highly sought-after collectibles like Versey and Master Drama Core often sell for more than 6,000 or 7,000 Fons when there’s a lot of bidding.
Certain items, like Dream Path, A Glass of Water, and Butterflies to Flowers, are particularly valuable and can cost hundreds of thousands of Fons.
One of the simplest ways to save currency is to pay attention to when non-player characters (NPCs) give up during auctions. After a few potential buyers quit, it’s often easier to predict how the remaining bidding will go. Also, remember to secure your funds before the weekly reset, as fresh item rotations can bring rare or limited-time collectibles.
