The LEGO Hylian Shield received a lot of positive attention from fans, though some pointed out a small mistake in the original post. The account that shared the video called it the “Hero Shield,” and many fans clarified that the Hero’s Shield is actually a different shield that has appeared in various forms throughout the Zelda series. For example, a shield inspired by the Hylian Shield appeared in Majora’s Mask, and the wooden shield from the beginning of Wind Waker is also a version of it. Some fans playfully commented that the LEGO shield, like the one in Breath of the Wild, might break easily after taking damage.

The popular Zelda video game series joined forces with LEGO, resulting in official LEGO sets. The first set, released in September 2024, was based on the iconic Great Deku Tree. In March 2026, a set inspired by Ocarina of Time came out, recreating the final showdown between Link, Zelda, and Ganon at Hyrule Castle. LEGO is reportedly developing another Zelda set, but details haven’t been revealed yet.
