Players of Destiny 2 have uncovered a problem pertaining to the restoration of abilities. This issue surfaced following the rollout of Edge of Fate, the latest expansion for Destiny 2 which added a new act to the narrative of Bungie’s acclaimed shooter series.
In the expansion of “Destiny 2,” players journey to Kepler, a world characterized by its rocky landscape enveloped in yellow webbing, temporal anomalies, and numerous buried mysteries. This new addition presents a novel activity called The Sieve, where players engage in combat to fend off the Vex and House of Exile, who aim to unlock the secrets of Kepler. Bungie has recently altered the dynamics of “Destiny 2” by introducing new abilities known as Destinations, empowering players with capabilities such as transforming into an energy orb, along with fresh equipment for their Guardians. The Edge of Fate expansion offers a wealth of content, but one issue has been causing issues in the gameplay experience within the “Destiny 2” community.
On Twitter, Bungie’s official Destiny 2 development team shared that they are investigating an issue where energy recharge rates aren’t as intended. As of now, players have noticed this ability becoming accessible at a stat level of 85. Previously, Bungie mentioned that reaching 70 in an ability stat was the same as before Destiny 2’s Edge of Fate release, and going above that would speed up energy regeneration even more. The developers will be addressing this issue in a future update for Destiny 2, allowing players to access this feature starting from a stat level of 70.
Destiny 2 Encounters Another Problem After the Release of Edge of Fate
In the same message, the developers indicate that they will disclose a comprehensive explanation regarding how the statuses will be rectified in the patch notes accompanying the update containing the energy fix. However, some reactions to this tweet conveyed annoyance as the problem was not resolved prior to the launch of Desert Perpetual, Destiny 2’s new raid, which became accessible on July 19th, in Contest mode – a special set of rules and modifications designed to create a challenging environment for all Destiny 2 players.

Since the launch of Edge of Fate, Destiny 2 hasn’t been without its share of issues. One of the most prominent problems is that players can’t restart the expansion’s missions if they exit them prematurely. Additionally, two other glitches are causing audio troubles on PlayStation 5 and causing the game to crash for PS4 users when they enter the Tower. Destiny 2 has acknowledged these errors and plans to roll out fixes in the near future.
