In Subnautica 2, you’ll need to locate and scan two Feedback Resonators to upgrade your Sonic Resonator. Both of these are found near the Alien Ruins, close to the Angel Comb. This guide will show you exactly where to find each Feedback Resonator and how to use them to improve your Sonic Resonator in Subnautica 2.
Feedback Resonator Location In Subnautica 2
In Subnautica 2, you’ll need to scan the Feedback Resonator at two different spots, both of which are accessible from the Alien Ruins. If you’re having trouble locating the Ruins, open your Signals menu – it will show you exactly where to go.
Feedback Resonator Location 1
You can find the first Feedback Resonator location by heading east from the Alien Ruins.
After you find the Angel Comb, walk northeast. Continue straight ahead until you see some green pools.
Before you try to find the Feedback Resonator, remember to upgrade your Tadpole so it can dive to greater depths in Subnautica 2.
Watch out! It’s not safe to bring your Tadpole into this area. A giant squid is nearby and will immediately attack it.
Leave the Tadpole, and you should find the Feedback Resonator location near the entrance.
Scan it, then leave the area. You can also farm it to get some Troilite in Subnautica 2.
Feedback Resonator Location 2
Once you have the first Feedback Resonator, return to the Alien Ruins. Then, head in a direction between east and southeast and continue forward.
After the Angel Comb, you’ll find ruins far in the distance.
On top, you can see a Cicada Wreck with an open front door.
Enter the ruins to find the second Feedback Resonator on the floor.
How To Upgrade The Sonic Resonator In Subnautica 2
Once you’ve scanned the two Feedback Resonators, return to your base. Make sure you either already have a Modification Station, or build one there.
The Feedback Resonator upgrade is available in the Prototype Tool Modification menu. You’ll need to gather some rare materials to unlock it, including two Conduit Crystals in Subnautica 2.
In Subnautica 2, obtaining the Feedback Resonator is crucial – it’s the only method for eliminating the infestation and restoring the Angel Comb to health.
