Pokémon Legends: Z-A hides many Pokémon throughout Lumiose City. Some, like Eevee, can be really tricky to find, while others are more straightforward. Gible is a good example – it’s not hard to find, but it can be surprisingly difficult to spot.
Gible is a popular Pokémon because of its strong final evolution, Garchomp. Garchomp is considered one of the best Dragon-type Pokémon, but it takes a while to get there!
Here’s a guide to finding and evolving Gible in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
How to Catch Gible in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

You can find Gible pretty easily in Lumiose City – it appears in one of the game’s Wild Zones. However, it can be tricky to actually catch one, as it doesn’t show up very often.
You can find Gible in the Wild Area known as Zone 8. This area is located east of the city, close to Lumiose’s center, and near the Justice Dojo – a place where you can teach your Pokémon special Plus Moves.
The Wild Zone opens up around level 20, as the Pokémon here are typically level 21. You’ll notice several dirt mounds scattered throughout the area when you enter.
Gible has a habit of burrowing into dirt piles, much like the Pokémon Drillbur, which can make it tricky to find and catch. Adding to the challenge, this area is also home to several powerful Alpha Pokémon.
To find Gible, keep an eye out for dirt mounds. If you approach one, look closely at the center – you’ll either see a Drillbur’s nose or a Gible’s fin sticking out.
If you spot a Drillbur, run away quickly! But if you see a Gible, don’t hesitate to battle. Gible and many other Pokémon in this area are naturally aggressive and won’t avoid a fight, so be prepared to engage!
How to Evolve Gible into Gabite and Garchomp
Gible can evolve into Gabite and then Garchomp. The good news is, both evolutions happen simply by gaining levels – you don’t need to find any special items or do anything extra!
To evolve Gible, first get it to level 24. When it reaches that level, an evolution symbol will appear next to its name in the menu, letting you turn it into Gabite.
Once your Gabite reaches level 48, it will evolve into Garchomp. Just keep leveling it up, and you’ll see the evolution option become available!
You can also Mega Evolve Garchomp with the Garchompite. You can buy this Mega Stone at the Stone Emporium in the southern part of town for 70,000 PokéDollars, but it only becomes available after you finish Main Mission 10.
